Naivety That Cost Me $$$$$$$$
I had a breast augmentation and BBL by doctor Vasfi in March 2024.
Everything went well and had no problems with recovery initially. The experience in the hospital was a little traumatic; I woke up shaking excessively and was treated like crap by the nurses at the start. Some were lovely but others were neglectful.
No complications until I came back to Aus and started to notice, after taking my bandages off, that my areola’s were deformed (red circle in image). They looked like the areola split and was growing downwards. I contacted the rep and she told me what it was and that it was an easy fix under anaesthetic… I was willing to deal with it just to avoid going back…. And THEN I noticed my boobs weren’t settling between where my breast should have been versus where it was… basically Vasfi had put my implants far too high on my chest, and I had skin gaps underneath and odd looking gaps on the sides of my boobs.
When I messaged his representative she told me he would do a revision for me, but I would have to pay for my flights and accomodation back to Turkey. I had already spent over $26,000!!!! Not including the flights and accomodation the first time!
I went to see another surgeon in Australia for advice and found out that the implants used were not safe (according to Australian standards) and basically got them redone… another 17k.
I would NOT recommend going to Dr Vasfi on the basis that what you are sold by influencers is a lie. The emotional support I received from his rep was great as I went alone, but honestly - just do it in Australia and save yourself the money and headache.
I’m just lucky I didn’t have any life-threatening complications.
