Hey everyone!

I decided to share some photos from my breast augmentation journey, since looking at hundreds of reviews on here helped me decide exactly what I wanted and what to expect.

I had my surgery just over 2 weeks ago, and will try to post regular updates on how they are settling over the coming months.

Here are my before photos, and here are my stats so you can see if you're similar to me:

Age: 36
Height: 5'4"
Weight: approx. 9 stone
2 children (1 & 3 years old)
Bra size before children: 32B

I'd never been blessed in the boob department, but after breastfeeding two babies, my breasts didn't even return to their previous fullness. Because I'd decided I would be having a breast augmentation, I never bothered to get myself measured and buy new bras...I just put up with my slightly empty old bras! So I was most likely a 32A at the point of my surgery.

I will share my 'after' photos in the next post.

I can't believe after 2 years of dreaming of having boobs again, they're finally here!

The implants I chose:
Motiva 285cc Ergonomix2 JOY in demi profile.
I had subfascial placement (this is above the muscle, but under the muscle fascia, which I think is a thin tissue on the outside of the muscle).
I had general anaesthetic.
I had the incisions on the inframammary fold.

Here's what the surgery was like:
I had an afternoon surgery - I couldn't eat anything after 6:30am, and was only allowed small sips of water, which felt like the longest time since I graze all day! I arrived at the hospital at 1:45pm, was checked into my own private room on the ward and given a gown and compression stockings. The anaesthetist and consultant both cam to see me to double-check everything and then I went in for my surgery at 3:30pm. The surgery was around an hour in length, and when I woke up I felt groggy but not in any pain, because they'd given me plenty of painkillers during the surgery. I stayed in the hospital for a few hours to be monitored, but once I'd been able to get up and go to the toilet, they were happy to discharge me.

At home, I had bought a wedge pillow as I was told to sleep in an inclined position to help with swelling - this took some getting used to and I didn't sleep well for a few nights but I'm fine with it now. They gave me plenty of painkillers to take home as well as antibiotics to prevent infection.

The first day after surgery was tough - the pain wasn't particularly bad, but I found it difficult to sit still and relax (I'm normally a busy mom running around after 2 toddlers!). I was told not to lift anything heavier than a kettle filled for 1! It was strange sitting on the sofa most of the day, and I did have to get up and potter about regularly, as I get uncomfortable being sat in the same place for long periods. I'm very aware about lifting/stretching too much, and have tried to limit this as much as possible as I know it can affect how the implants settle.

I was very excited to undo my compression bra and have a sneaky peek (I was provided with a Lipoelastic one, which is really great quality and comfortable). Very swollen as you can see in the photo, and also sitting quite high, which is to be expected only 1 day post-op!

Next update will be posted soon!

For some reason, the photos didn't upload with my latest update, so here it is again...

Here's my 5 day update!

So they're still sitting pretty high and are quite swollen - the area under my arms is also really swollen and tender. I can't have a shower for a week, because I can't get my dressings wet, so I'm having to wipe myself down with a flannel...feeling pretty horrid right now and desperate for a shower! I think I would struggle to have a proper shower though, as I'm still frightened to lift my arms too much or stretch too much. Other than the tender swollen areas, the pain really isn't that bad, and is easily manageable. The incision sites aren't giving me much pain at all.

My breasts feel quite firm still, as the skin is quite taut around the implants. It will take time for the skin to stretch and soften up - apparently it can take upto 6 months to see what they will finally look like! I've also got a lot of numbness across most of the breast and the nipples.

Excited to see some dropping and fluffing, hopefully soon!!
