reading all of the other reviews, I think it is time to start documenting my journey, as I have found other reviews so helpful, I hope anyone reading this one will find it useful too! I am a mother of 3, 43 YO, 5'6, currently 126 pounds, and fairly active. I breastfed all my babies for over 3 years total, and while I loved it and wouldn't change a thing, it is time to seriously consider BI. This is something I always knew I would eventually choose, and at 43, I am not having more children, and am ready to consider the procedure more seriously.

Even before children, I was very small, barely an A cup. (I wear A36, but the cups are always gaping, and padded bras just don't fit right.) Now after children, and focusing on a healthy life style, I am at a lower body fat percentage, and have lost the little boobs I had.

To date I have had 2 consults, one I loved, and one I knew was not the right doctor for me.

Three consults down and a surgery date booked!

mimi_c80
So I had my third consult yesterday, and immediately knew that I had found my surgeon. (I thought after my second consult I had found the clinic but was debating meeting another doctor as I felt the surgeon I consulted with was not as experienced as I would have liked.)

The third time is a charm I guess!

The doctor was warm, friendly and very relatable. We talked about my history, what look I wanted and he immediately picked two implants to try. I was amazed. (I tried on 6-8 pairs at my previous appointment)

I booked my surgery today and felt so nervous, but also excited.

I am only a few weeks out for the procedure, and it is going to fly by.

I have decided on 350 CC HP sientra 107, as I have tiny boobs and not a lot of breast tissue. The doctor is also going to shorten my nipples, (which was another reason I knew he was the right doctor) it was something I was not aware of, but as forementioned, after feeding three kids, they have stretched out and droop. The other doctors I met did not propose this option, but I do think it will enhance the end result tremendously.

Now I am looking into ways to make surgery recovery easier and hoping to arrange childcare for a few days post-op!

06 July - day of surgery

mimi_c80
So I went in for my surgery on Thursday, and am 3 days post op. So far feeling good. Discomfort for sure, but have been up walking around and showered.

The day of I was to be there for 6 am. I got checked in and was brought back to my room where I met some amazing nurses, Dr.Lofman and the anesthesiologist who was doing my surgery. Everyone explained what they were doing and why, and things moved very quickly.

Before I knew it, I was counting down to sleep and when I woke up, I was back in my room, with an ice pack on my chest and the whole procedure was finished.

I was discharged and went home to rest.

Fast forward to today, and everything is going well so far. I was able to shower this morning, (taking off the bra and seeing the incisions was a bit of a trip!) but I think they look really good.
