Currently have my BA scheduled with Dr. Lista on Nov 20th. I've been browsing Real Self for months since deciding on having a BA and want to share my own journey, ask questions and get your feedback as well!
I have been so back and for with this decision. I have had small (underdeveloped) breasts my entire life that I've been self conscious of. Since breastfeeding my son there is literally nothing left but skin and a nipple. I never thought I was the "type of person" to get a boob job but then I realized the hell with it! You only live once and I want to live knowing what it's like to actually feel like a woman! I feel so childish with no breasts whatsoever.
Anyway I am leaning towards 385cc high profile! Thoughts on size? I'm worried about going too big because I'm used to nothing there. But also feel like if I'm paying big bucks I better damn well get my dream boobs!! Lol. Oh and procedure will be under the muscle armpit incision, mentor implants.

Hi im scheduled for BA surgery on 8 November so we're pretty close in dates, im a little like you a 32A and breast fed 2 kids so hoping to end up around a C/D cup im looking at the 385 cc Menror implants also but hav'nt decided on the incision yet put my sergeon said a dual plane placement. I go back to see him in a week to go over the final decisions. Its so exciting isn't it.

Thanks for commenting! And congrats on your journey! Where are you located? I think I'm pretty set on the armpit because my current breasts are so small there isn't really a fold the would hide the scar. How old are your kids? I'm more nervous about the recovery with a two year old than anything!

Hi I'm in Australia, my kids are 12 and 8, I've been wanting to have my boobs don since before kids (lol) I've never had boobs not even when i was pregnant and now the are just empty fried eggs

Hey, good luck to you and @pammy.p for your surgeries! So exciting! Keep posting and happy choosing - I got a bit wierd looking at boobs like a shopping spree!! Lol it gets obsessive! Wish u both well x

I was a 38A, didn't quite fill out the cups. I got 365 silicone rounds under the muscle, and am a 36D now. Even though I have a small frame, I have a very broad rib cage so they look quite proportional. It's difficult to predict size of course, but I always found it helpful to know where other people started and ended!

I agree! It's the before and after on a similar frame that gives a good idea, I was 34a and had 325cc over and am now 34D but I also had one slightly higher and my PS told me this would be exaggerated which it is slightly but she couldn't align as the nipples would then be out of alignment so it makes a difference where you start from! :)

Hi! I booked my BA with dr lista a few weeks after you. How did you decide on armpit incision? I met dr L for a short consult and he said he'd do under the boob fold for me. He didn't want to see any of my 'wish pics' so I have no idea what size I'm going with. 385 looks good on you. I was thinking 310 or 330 for myself but I have no idea.

Hey Gillian! So to be honest he never looked at my wish boobs either haha. When I said I was concerned about going too big he said in my second consult that "385cc" is a common size. This was before I tried on the moderate profile options though. I think because I have broad shoulders and because I just feel like I have a bigger upper body in general (aside from the boob factor of course) I don't want to add that extra projection on top off things because I'll look too top heavy. Rosie was sooo helpful when trying on the sizers I think she could sense my discomfort with the high profile options even though I liked them initially. She made the comment that I want to feel comfortable when I'm in a bikini not like I'm trying to cover up - and I hadn't even thought about that before. So I definitely think the 330 mods are going to be plenty for me!

Oh and I decided on the armpit because I have pretty much zero fold currently. I know I will have one after the BA but I like the idea of the scar being hidden as well. My friend had hers done with Lista and did it that way so I guess I'm just following in her footsteps :)

Did you try on sizers?!
November 20, 2017
yes i did - twice. my before chest is super similar to yours, and I like the look of 310cc - but by going with 330cc maybe they'll look like the 310cc.... I don't know!

The sizing choice is so hard!! Just go with your gut. at the end of the day I really liked the width/diameter of the 385 HP which was the same as the 330 mod profile. So I figured if it was going under the muscle I’d lose some projection anyway!! And it was the width I liked the best about them both. You’ll look and feel great no matter what :)

Hey! I have been at the consultation with Dr Lista few years ago. A friend of mine have done her surgery with him and she is very happy. What Is a max size Dr Lista told you can go?
November 2, 2017
Hi! Thanks for all your comments/input. His max size for me was 415! Honestly the thought of anything over 400 scared me because I was originally looking at 300cc max lol. I do love the look of my wish pics but I don’t think I would look as good going that big. I’ve got broad shoulders and my chest/rib cage is wide so too big just makes me look too heavy. I went to a consult at air clinic and the surgeon said my ideal size was 265cc LOL.
November 2, 2017
I think this is exactly the reason why you should go 415cc. The broad shoulders and chest will make your boobs look smaller. Look at my pics. I am not having a broad shoulders and chest, and 415cc look bot big at all on me. You are not going to get boobs like from your wish pics by going with 415cc. Those are much much larger. Girl, trust me, you will look like a doll with 415cc. I am sitting here and hoping to be full C with 415cc. With 300cc ish you’ll get like B. Whats the point?

Thank you so much for being a bigger boob advocate lol. I’ve been so nervous 385 will look too big so it’s helping me feel at ease with the decision! I don’t think I’m done having kids so my breasts are going to change in the next few years. So I want the ability to go bigger down the road if I want to change them vs maxing out now! Going to post more pics soon on my last sizing appt

Anytime! :) I see where you coming from. Yea, post more pics. I’ll post more too :)

I went from a 34 aa to a d/dd with 350 and 400 cc (to fix asymmetry) mentor high profile under the muscle.

Some before photos...

tofeellikeawoman
Almost 2 months away from surgery so wanted to share some before photos - it's so sad! I feel like there is literally nothing there at all - there never was - and that I look like such a kid/boy. Can't wait to get actual boobies!! Even if they are made of silicone ;)
Hopefully by sharing my journey I will connect with some of you who are in the same boat and we can support each other through this exciting yet nerve wracking time!!

You are so similar to where I started, mine were bit baggier!! lol I had overs so different if going under. You said you have no natural fold, I didn't on my left side which was lower but didn't matter, I think on here the fold incision seems the easiest in recovery but others who've had different may like to comment. For straightforward implants it's worth considering as u will form a natural fold - check out my review if u wish - my B4 and after are a bit further along my time line as a comparison :)
September 22, 2017
Thanks for your insight!! I guess my only concern with under the fold is having the scar there in the event that something went horribly wrong and I had to get an explant. I am a huge worrier so trying to think further down the road if there were complications and I had to get rid of them i think I'd rather the scar hidden in my armpit ?? But I don't know!! If it's an easier recovery that's definitely more tempting ! I checked out your review - you have amazing results! Congrats on your journey :)

Thank you! It's what's right for each of us! I get what you are saying- good luck :)

Questions about sizing and results

tofeellikeawoman
Two things I'm wondering if anyone comes across my profile and wants to give their two cents :)
1. Based on my current body/anatomy does it look like my breasts are wide set?? I'm hoping they will be closer together after surgery so I can actually have cleavage
2. My right is bigger than the left but only slightly and there was no mention at the last consult whether or not I need two different sizes to even them out - thoughts???

Hey there! :) our BAs are scheduled around the same time - mine will be around Nov 18 :) I am also a small A cup (boo). I share your excitement hahaha - it's pretty much all I think about! To answer your questions (and I am no expert!) I think you may be ever so slightly wider-spaced. As for cleavage, the implant has to sit directly below your nipple so it depends on how large you're going - I assume the higher the profile the "closer" your cleavage will appear. But it depends on the shape of your chest wall as well - if it's slightly barrelled or not. Maybe raise this concern with your surgeon and request some 3D scans so you can better visualise where they'll sit :) If the asymmetry is only really subtle, then it's up to you if you wish to have it corrected. My surgeon asked me if my (really minimal) asymmetry bothered me enough to go with 2 different sizes. But I decided to leave them as is - boobies are sisters, not twins ;) So I think it's completely up to you, and if your surgeon hasn't mentioned it I'd just assume he doesn't think it's too much of a problem aesthetically. :) No harm in pointing it out and asking his opinion though!

Thanks for your insight and congrats on your BA journey :D! It's so exciting !! And yes all I think about is boobs, all I look at is boobs lol. More than a teenage boy probably!!! Thanks for your recommendations - I will be having a second consult where I can ask more of the specific questions. What size/type of implants are you getting?!
September 22, 2017
Hi, mine were asymmetrical in size with fold in different places and on my B4 and after you can see it shows but to be honest I don't notice it and didn't have different size implants - I had HP as my PS said these give more volume with less width - mine only meet in a push together bra but I didn't want more side boob!! I had overs which may be different to unders - good luck choosing! :)
