4 month post op
Unfortunately I had a severe skin reaction to mastisol. No one would’ve known. It was rough going through it as I developed contact dermatitis but I’ve been in the clear. I have some hyperpigmentation scarring but it’s slowly been lightening up now. Otherwise, I love my results!
Overall Great Experience
Hi! First like to list off my stats: 5’2” 113 lbs bra size per Victoria’s not so secret: 34 B. most likely a full size A. I got moderate profile plus memory gel Sentra (sorry if I’m wrong lol) 300 cc bilateral breast augmentation.
Consultation: I didn’t feel pushed by MD, he was professional and straight to the point. He was nice overall. I did feel slightly pushed by the patient coordinator but overall I had a good experience. It was $500 but i was talking to Dr. Barrett for a little over an hour. It made me feel as if my money was well spent considering how $$$ it was compared to other consultation fees. Their staff was all very nice, office was clean, and besides the pt coordinator being a smidge pushy towards the end I obviously didn’t mind it as I went with the surgery.
Any questions I had the surgery coordinator was prompt and answered everything between 48-72 hours if not I call and they answer everything.
Surgery day: my arrival time was at 6 am around 7 ish they did all pre op stuff: photos, spoke to MD, IV placed in and around 830 or so they got me in. Got onto to the OR table and knocked out. Woke up in recovery- I was so so out of it. Unsure how long I’ve been there lol but I just remember I was super tight and uncomfortable. I felt I was just frozen up top. Wheeled me to my car as my SO picked me up.
(Side note from him: he felt as they were rushing me to get me out as they called him to come pick me up and literally 5-7 mins they called him again. He was like idk why they’re calling me again when they just did. I’m on the way… so idk what they want- in his perspective he felt like they just wanted me out). I was too [RS bleep] up to know. But I woke up w my IV out already and they gave me a couple sips of water.
Recovery: has been harder than I thought. I developed tape blisters due to the swelling on my L boob. Still there rn, supposedly pop on it’s own. I have some bruising. Went to my first post op appt- removed out first layer of sutures. MD said my skin was much tighter than others hence why I’m prob more in discomfort. Realized how immobile your upper extremities are. I sleep elevated and continue to do so, as it feels better that way. Pain is managed with CBD Tylenol and Norco PRN. I’ll be seeing him next week!
Will keep this updated :)
