Dr. Riou’s office helped me in a timely manner to schedule my consult, pre-op and surgery date due to my profession. I am a massage therapist and my clients book way out in the future. Due to this, being healthy and getting approval from Dr. Riou after he evaluated me via email, I was able to do my pre-op after my consult and already have my surgery date scheduled for a month later so I could move my clients around and mark the necessary time off my schedule for recovery (3 1/2 weeks). Even though this is not typical, it helped me tremendously given my career and travel distance and was much appreciated! I had researched Dr. Riou about 3 years prior and had my heart set on him doing my procedure due to his expertise and I am so glad he did! My breasts look and feel phenomenal and my healing journey was so quick. He had to release the muscle that was constricted around my cone shaped breasts, which normally would cause heavy bruising but it was very minimal. In fact, I stopped taking pain meds after 3 days and stopped taking muscle relaxers after 4 days. He was very impressed with my 5 day follow-up due to the amount of healing…my breasts had already dropped and began to fill out. I was taking immune booster supplements starting 2 weeks prior to surgery, purchased a wedge to sleep in an inclined position and purchased a breast recovery bra off Amazon that worked wonders. The only drawbacks I can honestly speak on are the price, the website hasn’t been updated in a few years and I was surprised when I got to the office to find out the cost was going to be $1,000 more than I had anticipated. Also, I wanted to go bigger but Dr. Riou wouldn’t let me lol. He said due the surgical incision, silicone choice and breast tissue/skin I had that 400cc moderate plus or 450cc high profile would be the biggest he would be comfortable with going. I appreciated his honesty and looking out for my safety so it’s a win/win. I went with 400cc moderate plus silicone for a more natural look and feel. I wore a 32B before hand and am now a 32D, or 32DD if it’s a push-up bra.
