I had a very mixed experience with Dr. Gray & his staff. The day I came in for my consultation, I felt like I had a ton of information about mostly Dr. Gray and his "achievements" being thrown at me vs the procedure I was inquiring about. (Breast augmentation with implants) He did ask if I had any questions, but I felt so overwhelmed at the time, that my mind was drawing a blank. (Note for those getting future consultations: write down all of your questions!) While going over what I wanted, he told me I could only get the smallest implant size. (This seems to be false as far as what other surgeons have informed me.) Upon the end of our consultation, I was immediately taken to put down a deposit and pay. I really didn't feel like it was a choice. I know I was not forced. But it felt as though I had no choice in the matter. Everything felt really rushed and pushy. Flash forward to the day of my surgery: everything went well. Recovery was as expected until I hit a snag. I do not necessarily blame Dr. Gray for the issue, but it is undetermined what the cause was. I ended up with a "double bubble"/"bottom out" on my right breast. I of course was panicking and originally emailed the office with photos, but was told to call and make an appointment to be checked out. During the follow up visit, Dr. Gray instructed me to wear a wired bra (wire removed from left side only) to see if it would correct itself. Unfortunately, it did not. So we scheduled a revision surgery. I was told by the staff before leaving that they would get in touch to prescribe my medications for the 2nd operation. They never did. The day they called to let me know what time to come in for my revision, I got an attitude from the staff because "I should have called and they could have scheduled someone else for that time"... I was nerve stricken by this. But let it go. However, I do want to state that it is NOT my responsibility to follow up on this in full. I was told I would be contacted and it is THEIR job to keep up on these things... Anyways: Revision rescheduled, flash forward to that morning. I wake up early to shower and get going. I receive a call on my way there that they were running behind and to come in a few hours later. That time goes by and I receive another call stating the same thing... Mind you: you can not eat or drink ANYTHING 12 hours prior to surgery... We're well into the early evening at this point in the day... I am dehydrated and cranky. (I'm hypoglycemic and anemic.) Finally they tell me I can come in and they'll hook me up to an IV to hydrate me. When I arrive, they do so and tell me they can put me under until they're ready for me to help. After all that mess, things seemed to be going ok at best. I did have concerns, as when I tensed/flexed my chest, there was unsightly deformities going on. Dr. Gray told me this was "normal and couldn't be fixed", as it was due to my thin tissue... (Also false and confirmed by other surgeons.) Went in for my follow ups, but my very last I had to cancel. I would expect a surgeon's office while treating my issue to want to see the final product... Alas, 2 years later... I have not heard from Dr. Gray's office at all. And with all that being said and done, my double bubble was not fully fixed... It was less drastic, but still noticeable. To put the cherry on top: the incision scar he made for the fix was larger than necessary. (Also confirmed by other surgeons I have spoken with.) I honestly feel as though once they got their money, I really didn't matter to an extent. I did like Dr. Gray after the initial consult. When I cam in for follow ups, he was kind, answered my questions and addressed my concerns, etc. But the staff was always very on and off with me. Some days kind, some days giving off a bit of an attitude for no reason. One of the staff members was always great! I wish I could remember her name... I decided not to return to Dr. Gray. I was not willing to go in for a possible 3rd operation from the same surgeon to fix something that should have been done right during the revision. Or to be told that it was "the best they could do" in a way... At no fault of Dr. Gray, my implant on the right side also had an imperfection in which it had a bubbling out "corner" that only made my bottoming out issue more predominant. I kind of feel as if you aren't already a "perfect canvas", Dr. Gray's skill level really shows... I enjoyed having larger breasts, but ultimately was unhappy with my results and experience. I have since gone to multiple others for consultations and had another breast augmentation done to correct everything from my 1st/2nd.

I’m now a little over 1 month post op on my 2nd augmentation. I unfortunately seem to prone to bottoming out/double bubble and am experiencing issues (you can visit my profile for details & photos) but go in next week to get looked and discuss my options. I will continue to post updates about this as it goes

I am so sorry to hear about your experience. You’re in Michigan. I love my Dr. Maybe you could schedule a consultation with him? I’ve hear other women give the same review about your doctor, that he is not as skilled as he says that he is, that’s why I originally steered clear of him.

girl i feel ya.. and it's horrible to go thru something like this.
if at least anything, you are able to help others see a bad doctor and hopefully make a wise choice before hiring this one.
