2 months and much softer
Reached the 2 month mark and they have softened a lot more! I think swelling has mostly gone now.
They are much more swishy and moveable than they were at 1 month! I don't think the size has changed much. The internal stitching at the incisions have definitely softened as well. Still tenderness on the ribcage area, especially on one side. So I just have to be gentle with the bras I wear and the pressure they put on that area. I still(!) wear my macom bra at night because it's just the most comfortable. Wearing normal non wire and sports bras during the day.
Scars are looking good and I put the scar gel on every second day at night now, was doing everyday for a awhile.
I am happy with the size. They are like the small boobs I was meant to have. I do look at them sometimes (only sometimes) and think I could have gone slightly bigger but I know me well enough to know that I would have felt they were too big if I did. I didn't want them to be noticeable to anyone else but me and I feel that's exactly what they are. I've just done a big online bikini shop and waiting for them in the post which I'm excited for. In the meantime I've been putting on my current bikinis and like they fill them out but they aren't super big! I've taken a few pics for you all and also some laying down.
Looking back on the last 2 months, some things i wish I knew beforehand:
Dermatitis in a few areas of my body, maybe just a body reaction post surgery. I had this beforehand but a few popped up all at the same time which was annoying.
Dry skin, the skin on my breasts became dry and flaking because it had stretched. Moisturise, Moisturise, Moisturise.
Didnt get a solid sleep for awhile, expect this until you go back to a normal and comfortable sleeping position.
Breathing, i did a lot of shallow breathing and for awhile without realising. I had to remind myself to take deep breathes. This caused headaches which I didn't tie to the breathing until afterwards.
Stretching of skin/burning/tightness does go away, eventually, but the hypersensitivity is real.
Fluid trapped under the skin after surgery, totally normal.
I
nternal stitching will be really sore and hard and morning boob is a real thing.

I had my 1 month check in today and they are really happy with how they are settling. Here are some pics and a quick video. The video shows that the skin is still fairly tight and has some loosening to do before they do any jiggling. They are softening though and the hypersensitivity is FINALLY improving. Only in the last 24-48 hours have i noticed some parts don't hurt to touch. The nurse did say the hypersensitivity is actually a better sign than no feeling at all, which i guess is true.
Scars look about the same and she suggested some water based moisturiser or coconut oil to soften the scabs so they fall off. Once the scabs are gone then I can start on the scar gel. She said I could start gentle massage for the internal scar tissue below the incisions, however, this will soften in the next 2 months.
I was given the clear to go back to using a sauna and baths. Also to start gradual exercise but limit upper body where possible.
She also said I should stay in supportive bras until the 3 month mark. I can do mild support during the day vs the nighttime so maybe doesn't have to be the macom bra during the day, but exercise should be a high impact sports bra. At 3 months i can consider some braless instances.
I also did some bra shopping (soft and wireless) and i seem to be a B cup. I can fit in some A cups but it doesn't feel as supportive so maybe if I want a booby look in future I could do that with an A cup. This was the first time I had been bra shopping and didn't leave feeling frustrated. It was really nice to fill out a bra and not have to dig through to find the A cups, because we all know there are never many on the rack!
I think now the hypersensitivity is slowly going, I am starting to enjoy them. I have no boob greed and am happy with the sizing. One is bigger than the other but as you've heard - they are sisters not twins.
My surgeon understood exactly what I wanted and really did do a great job!

Dropping and fluffing
I've been watching mine closely to see how they settle. Typically one has taken longer than the other and they are still settling but I thought this would be a good compare to show at nearly 20 days post surgery.
Really interesting to see the swelling goes down and the rounded shape start to form at the lower pole, as well and the direction of the nipple start to have a natural direction instead of straight forward. Thanks to the motiva ergonomix having such a natural shape!
