0-24hrs after surgery
So typical me, anxiety got the better of me and didn't fall asleep until 1am for a 730am admission! My colleague picked me up and took me in. The team and nurses at Kingsway Day Surgery were wonderful and I was first on the list. Quick pre-op check and paperwork, changed into a gown and laid in bed ready. Brand new operating theatre's and technology. Prof drew me up with only a handful of lines and show d me my trolley of goodies, then wheeled to the theatre. The Anesthesia was perfect, cannula in, little injection and said I would feel soft on a cloud, then gently applied a soft mask and that was the end of that!
I woke up unable to open my eyes but the nurses asking my pain scale, injecting more morphine. Went from a 8 to a 5 and then I was awake and they helped sit me up, dress me in my clothes and take me to a recliner to take the weight off sitting upright.
Prof let me know 305cc was too small, couldn't fit the 395cc spacer in and if he forced it then I wouldn't have a natural look and may have bottomed out. So 332 Mentor Memory Gel CPG 350cc was it!
Had some fruit puree and jelly as a sore throat and multiple cups of water. I didn't feel like the coffee I had craved earlier when my colleague ordered before his work day and then the surgeon shouted the staff lol.
I was driven home at 2pm and went straight to sleep, I got up only to go to the toilet and drink water, send a few texts and then took a photo before bed.
Night got a little rough and awoke with tight chest and cramps. Had some more Palexia and Panadol around midnight.
Awoke this morning rigid and painful and couldn't get up without help as I had slid down my pillows. But took some more pain medication, used an ocean wipe and changed my clothes. Usually could shower after 24hrs but due to my allergies I have fabric dressings and have to wait 48hrs before removing them.
Movement and deep breaths really help loosen up things and relieve pain. I get occasional sharp moments but overall no real pain just sitting or lying, just uncomfortable. The ice packs are amazing and so is the Alice Bra.
Can't believe my results, no lumps or squareness I see on others?? He washed off most of the lines, no Betadine in sight, hair nicely beaded back.
I look 1month Post Op already. So happy and so glad I paid the premium price for these results already! I know $16k is a lot but results show why lest than 8hrs after surgery.

Pre Op Goodies
So after reading a few reviews and such I thought I better go shopping!
But first I treated myself, hubby offered but then agreed he had no clue, so he will be my post-op shopping spree and moral support even when I'm a boobzilla in pain!
Big shout out to Relax and Recovery for their post surgery and mummy packs. I got a Platinum Pack! Delivered so quickly and packaged beautifully under discretion.
4x Breast Gel Packs with Covers.
4x Long Gel Packs with Covers. Both are easy quick freeze or heat.
Lavender Heat Pack
Neck Pillow with clip to live in and aid sleeping propped up.
V Shaped Pillow and Slip.
6x Movicol Sachets for happy bowels.
Vitamin E Cream, Body Butter for massaging and skin health under those support garments.
Dry Shampoo to freshen before we can reach to wash or hit the salon!
Body wipes to freshen inbetween bathes.
Pamper items of a mask and hair treatment to make you feel alive again.
It includes a foot stool, to make getting in and out of high beds or reaching to get a glass out of the cupboard etc as we can't lift arms above shoulder height.
Medication
Check with your surgeon first! I know they will provide some great pain relief as petite and going dual plane but to help out...
I got some magnesium for muscle relief, arnica for bruising, probiotics as will be on antibiotics and not as mobile. All this is to be taken after surgery. Accept I've started the probiotics as it's a regular for me with IBS. Ceased my multivitamin until after as well!
I also got some scar removal cream.
Things noted.
-Button Up Button Up Button Up!
-Cotton 100‰ where possible.
This is Australia and Summer Pending... Up to 40c and 100% humidity... But also 4 seasons in a day and down to rand 8c at times with Gail force winds or rain and hail.
So with a gift card from the inlaws I spoiled myself with a Peter Alexander PJ set.
Attacked every clothes rack in Best less, Cotton On, Big W and Kmart. Geez it really hard to find real buttons and things that aren't Mid-rift or Nana style!
Note please wash items first, I know it's so hard assuming sizes with the new assets but choose a few comfy and who cares outfit's to prewash from the nasties of dyes, dust and bacteria that come from the manufacturer and store. Also I know I get 2 Bra's from the surgeon but noticed this practical sports bra from Valley Girl for $18
I also bought a beautiful summer dress from JeansWest and shoes half price as my birthday is 19days post op and it hides the surgical bra nicely!
Later on I might purchase some silicon nipple covers as I have heard they can help after a month to hide and protect.
(Also not the first photo didn't upload to the previous implant choice post)

Implant Options and Surgeon
I decided by recommendation of colleagues to see Prof Deva. Obviously being a senior surgeon I knew I would be in great hands and the price would be justified in more than one way...
Seeing so many friends see cosmetic clinics that only offer one type of implant and usually round smooth, have little experience (<5yr) and outcomes of a natural shape or intended size are greatly effected by chest shape or natural asthetic deformaties only considered mid operation. But the look and choice is personal and there are many great cosmetic surgeons if you do your research.
He also specialises in Maxillofacial, Bariatric, Body Contouring, Breast and Skin Cancer and all Cosmetic proceedures. Runs a government funded all female staff breast check as well as a university department in breast implant research.
As mentioned before, BWD 12cm and BHD 14cm as I have a long torso. Mild asymmetry, slightly outward facing and zero breast tissue with a little stretched skin. (I will attach pre-op photos at a later date).
I bugged poor Deva with a mountain of questions and laughs at what's found on the internet during my research of blogs to actual published medical articles. But we both agreed on 332 Mentor Memory Gel CPG Anatomical. These numbers stand for Cohesiveness, Height, Projection.
So all anatomical are Cohesive level 3 to keep their shape, prevent rippling and provide a natural shape. They are firm but assured once they drop and fluff they will be very real for a lean fit body type. The only noticeable thing as I have zero tissue is I may feel the edge of the bottom of the implant if I dig my fingers in, but not by sight.
Height well 3 as I am so long in the torso and to give a natural slope and less of the round bolt on style.
Projection 2 which is Moderate Plus. As otherwise I'd have a bit of a torpedo look, but the plus stands for more than average round shape.
Obviously these implants are textured to hold their shape in the dual plane pocket made. With my body frame smooth round would look shocking. YES I hear your little media alarm bells ringing. This lovely surgeon is also a teacher and researcher! He is the one to approach the world and has removed faulty or disease prone implants from the market. He has studied biofilms which cause rogue cells to turn to a type of breast lymphoma. So with the research and database development from colleagues, patients and manufacturers around the world I trust his judgement on the type of anatomical implant used.
Also yes you can still work out and do upper body exercises, just not recommended for body builders! No they won't rotate from doing pushups and silly things you read online. Also I should have no problems breast feeding if a little blessing happens again later in life.
Assured on top of his reputation and research he has implemented a plan called the 14 Step Adams/Deva Plan which I hope most surgeons would use. (Uploaded on photos) Essentially it takes extra precautions in preventing infection and biofilms which lead to disease. The implant pocket prepped, sleeve and instruments are all new mid operation before the genuine implant is placed. Which is huge in my books being a scrub nurse.
Talking Size (Mentor chart attached)
332 - 305cc, 350cc, 395cc
He will be placing each sizer in to get the maximum but natural look for me.
Leaving me a minimum 10 Full C and up to 10 Full DD. When I mention DD this is only comfort wise as in BWD in a wired bra, the goal is to always have a Full C-D shape and look.
The added care? Yearly lifetime checks and screening. A surgeon who is researching and treating Breast Implant Illness.
And in short a plan in place that if I was of the unfortunate women who suffer disease such as rupture, capsular or even worse cancer, the case will be caught in time and in the course of a few months be treated, healthy and have round smooth replacement in the already made pockets.
Added to this his natural, confident, understanding, unworldly base of knowledge and 20+years of experience with a bit of humour makes him the choice!
