WORTH IT
Ever since I was a teenager, I've been super insecure about my breasts. I hit puberty quite late when I was 17 years old and as a result, I got teased for looking like a boy. My best friend and I were known as Bones (her - tall skinny ballerina) and Ice Rink (me... flat, rectangular with a male shape). All the girls made fun of me for not having to wear a bra and it definitely effected my self image for the long term. I eventually got hips and a butt... but the boobs never came with it! I have spent the last 13 or so years contemplating breast augmentation but I just never took the plunge for one reason or another. And finally, when I turned 31 I thought screw it... I'm doing it!
I originally heard about Dr. Watts through one of my clients (I'm a personal trainer). After looking at a few of the other options in Perth, I decided to go with him. From the moment I walked into his room, I knew her was going to be my boob "Guy" ;) . Him and his nurse Kristen, along with the entire administrative staff were so thorough and made me feel so comfortable. I was amazed at how much time Dr. Watts personally spent with me and he answered any and all questions I had throughout the entire process.
It's now been exactly one month since my surgery and I can confidently say that this is THE BEST decision I've ever made. I still have to wear my compression bra 24/7 for another 2 weeks but even just teasing myself by putting bikini tops on makes me SO excited!
If you're unsure about your size (like myself) and what will suit your body - just leave it in Dr. Watts hands. He knows exactly what will work for you. Just feel confident in trusting him with everything - I did, and I couldn't be happier!
As far as recovery goes, it wasn't that bad. A lot of discomfort and "omg what have I done" for the first 4-5 days but that's about it. Pain was minimal and I was back to full time work in 10 days.
For anyone who is contemplating this surgery - JUST DO IT!! You only have one life so you might as well live it feeling amazing about yourself :) In addition, for anyone in Australia who is looking for an incredible surgeon that you can trust with your life, don't even bother looking any further-- Dr. Watts is your man.
