Post Op day 8
Here are some updated picture from post op day 8. Loving the way they look in clothes. Pain is manageable. Most days I don’t take any pain medication other than the Celebrix that was prescribed. I am looking forward to them dropping and becoming softer. I would say everyday they get soften but still extremely hard!
JUICY & FULL TITS - Everything I Wanted and More
Overall I had a great experience with Dr. Zeidler. I got a breast augmentation with internal bra and lipo in the armpit area.
Consultation - I met with a nurse and Dr Z took some measurements and I showed her my inspo pics. Dr. Z is the one who recommended the lipo. It had never even crossed my mind and I wanted the best possible results. Since I was already going under might as well add what I could. The nurse helped me with sizing. I was very overwhelmed and didn’t remember much of what the doc said thank gosh my boyfriend was there to help me. It was A LOT for me.
I was sticker stocked when I got the original quote. I do understand Dr. Z is a phenomenal surgeon and they may be a little more expensive than some places. (I honestly didn’t even get a quote from other surgeons but did enough research to know I could get it for cheaper somewhere else but I wanted the best results)
Pre op - I didn’t get to see the doctor because I called last minute and changed my surgery day from the end of May to the beginning which they had to scramble to get me in for my pre op (there must be some rule that you have to talk to them and see them at the 2 week mark because at the exact 2 week mark I had a call with the nurse and the following day with Dr. Z because I was out of town, then I came in for my pre op appointment on the following Monday.(11 days prior to my surgery). I was able to talk to Dr Z multiple times over the phone which helped me feel better.
When I went in that Monday for my pre-op I brought a bunch of tops to try on with my sizers. I was between 375cc and 400cc. When I spoke with Dr Z on the phone and at my consultation she recommended 400 which is what I went with. The nurses let me try on sizers (I only tried on 375 and 400 because I was set on getting one or the other but I could have tried on a variety of sizers) with all my clothes and I didn’t feel rushed at all. Then they went over all the paperwork, took my height and weight, blood pressure, heart rate, and had me sign some documents as well as answer all my questions. Then had me pay my balance off before I left.
I had my boyfriend come with me to my consultation (not pre-op) which was a huge help for me. He’s very supportive and since I was so nervous I was able to retain a lot of the information but he did and was able to remind me. So if you have someone who is very supportive and honest (not judgmental) I would bring them to your pre op and maybe they can help you listen to what the doctor says and help you pick. But the best thing to do is have inspo pictures to show the doctor and see what she recommends for the look you are going for. Then try on the range of sizers she recommends and see what you like. (BRING CLOTHES TO TRY ON, no one told me this and I read it somewhere and was so happy I ended up bringing clothes to try on)
Surgery - 2 days before my surgery I started freaking out and couldn’t sleep. Then the night before my surgery I ate and edible and slept like a baby. I woke up feeling more excited than nervous. I live about 3 hrs north so I had to leave by 0830ish and surgery was scheduled for 1230 I had to be there at 11am. They had me sign some papers and went over my post op care with my boyfriend who’s taking care of me.
They took me back and had me change then the nurse, Freddy, came in gave me a cup to pee in for the pregnancy test, gave me an IV which he also took some blood, gave me fluids, and medicine. Freddy was awesome. He really calmed my nerves, he was very knowledgeable, used to be an ICU and trauma nurse before he switched over to plastics and I felt like I was in good hands. Then Dr. Z came in and we chatted for a bit and she also made me feel 100% better. I really like her. She gave me good vibes. My surgery started about 10-20min after scheduled time so between 12:40-12:50. I’m not sure what time they woke me up but I FELT AWFUL. My left side hurt a lot and my nurse was now Daphanie. She gave me 2 doses of fentanyl for the pain and something else. They had to keep me for over an extra hour because they couldn’t get my blood pressure up. They asked if I wanted more pain medicine (AND I REALLY DID) but if I took it I would have to stay another 30min and I wanted to get out of there so badly. I felt nauseous and in pain but as soon as I was released and laid down in the car (BRING PILLOWS FOR AFTER SURGERY). I left SO MUCH BETTER. My boyfriend was even surprised how well I was doing. He had 2 bean burritos (per my request) waiting for me. After I ate I felt 100x better. I napped most of the way home but I also would get up for a bit and felt pretty good. Pain was definitely manageable.
For the first 3-4 days I definitely recommend taking the pain meds as prescribed! It’s not worth waking up in the middle of the night in pain because you want to tough it out. Though it does make you SO CONSTIPATED! I was extremely uncomfortable and looked like I was pregnant from how bloated I was. I was even taking Miralax and stool softeners and nothing seemed to work until day post op day 4. Since the pain was a manageable I stopped taking the pain killers on day 4 or day 5.
I also wasn’t able to shower at the 72hr mark because every time I would try to take off my surgical bra everything would go black, I couldn’t breathe, I wanted to vomit, it’s like my whole body just went “dead” and my boyfriend had to carry me to bed until post op day 5! I recommend showering with your bra on at first (unless you don’t have this issue).
At my first post op appointment (day 5) I was able to take my bra off without fainting and Gigi made me feel great about my results so far! I went home and could take my first fully naked shower without help! (YAY!)
So far they look weird which i completely expected due to all the research I’ve done. I tried on a top last night and even though they haven’t “dropped and fluffed” they look hella good in a top.
My boyfriend is a lot better at visualizing and making me feel good and he says they look amazing and he can already see how good they will look once they heal and settle.
For reference - I am 5’6.5 and 144lbs.
I will continue to update with progress pics!
