I’m so happy I went through with it despite my fear of being put to sleep.

After a few days I started to bruise
WORTH IT
So... I wanted to say, I didn’t get drainage bags, but I kinda wish I had. Of course I can only speak for myself, but I believe the bags would have reduced the amount of bruising I had. The bruising is what caused soooooo much pain for me during healing. I used arnica gel and arnica dissolvable tablets and within days the bruising started to get lighter and the pain eased up a whole lot. Here’s a video I sent to a friend to show her the bruising. The picture shows the bruising lightening up after using arnica. Everyday it get lighter, so I’m happy about that!

3 weeks in!
I’m finally starting to feel better! I’m sleeping better and not waking up as stiff. I’m also beginning to stand up straight. The first two weeks I felt hunched over due to tightness of my breasts. I’m able to move around so much better now! The bruising has gotten better as well. I’ve been using Arnica gel and taking the dissolvable tablets. Those helped within DAYS!!! Here’s a picture of my first time wearing a regular bra. Sure it’s a little small (I don’t know what size I’m going to be yet... but I’m enjoying the view so far!

Swelling is decreasing
I love my natural looking breasts! I’m still really bruised underneath and on the sides but I think they’re pretty!! I underestimated the healing process, but I’m happy that things are getting better. I’m just extremely sore still.

I’m so happy to help because I felt the same way! As a black girl I worried about scarring. My scars look great, but I bruised pretty badly. I wish I’d gotten the drain bags to help with that. Not sure if you’ll have the same issues but the doctor said my pectoral muscles are strong and caused him to have to dig a little more... that left me severely bruised which of course caused pain... but I will say, the surgery is a breeze! You go to sleep and you wake up lol. I was afraid of that but that ended up being easiest! The healing has been a journey, but it’s week three and I’m finally moving around normally .. minus heavy lifting and pulling. You’re gonna be just fine tho
