I'm a mom of 2 kiddos, both extended breastfed. Before kids I have a nice full C and now I'm somewhere between a B/C with deflated breast. I was on bed rest with both pregnancies for 12weeks (1st child) and 9weeks (second child) which caused some lovely saddle bags to develop and even though I workout/eat healthy they just won't budge. I hate how I look in swimsuits and clothes.
I've tried diet/exercise/even coolsculpting for the hip/thigh area and nothing has helped. So I figured if I was getting augmentation done, I may as well go ahead and fix those at the same time-- the abdomen is just an added bonus! Maybe I'll actually be able to get my abs to show through now!
I had my initial consult with Dr. Crawford after meeting with 2 other surgeons. She was wonderful and I knew she was going to be the best choice. She's a mom & she understands the toll pregnancy can take on a woman. She helped me come up with a plan to get my pre-baby body back and made sure to answer any questions I had very thoroughly. I never felt rushed at all & very comfortable the entire time.
I had my Pre-OP appt yesterday with Felicia. She was super sweet, funny, and thorough in all of the protocols pre-surgery--- especially since COVID-19 has added some to that list. We tried on sizers again and ultimately decided to go with 550-600CC (I have a broad rib cage -I'm wearing a 38-40B currently) allowing Dr. Crawford to decide what fits best during surgery.
I'm super excited and also very nervous as I have wanted to do this for nearly 8 years.

One week away...

I paid off my surgery today. I have one week to go. I’m a little nervous and excited and kind of scared but mostly excited.
Picked up all my meds, ordered a couple of extra bras for post op & an extra undergarment. As excited as I am, I’m not excited about the chest to knee body suit I’ll have to wear for several weeks in this Texas heat. Looks like I’ll have to grab a few extra sun dresses until I can wear shorts again!
I’ll post again after surgery.

I did it!

Holy moly— I did it. My surgery started at 7:30am yesterday. I was finished and in recovery around 11:45am.
I had breast aug with 560CC on the left & 520CC on the right— we had planned for 560 but also ordered 520 as my right side was slightly larger. I came home in bandages & my extra tight compression garment. I feel like I got hit by a truck. Pain meds & muscle relaxers are my saving grace. My bed is pretty tall so my husband has had to help me in and out of it. Surprisingly walking around feels better than laying— I sleep for a few hours and then get up and walk around. I have about a million pillows in my bed so I’m comfortable on my back. I’m a side sleeper so this is also a struggle.
The BA makes my shoulders roll forward so I’m trying to be aware of that and roll them back. The lipo is the most painful part. It burns and aches everywhere I had incisions. This compression garment is no joke either. It’s so tight that it’s leaving marks in my skin. It’s also odd to have an opening for my vagina to use the restroom. Not sure how I’m going to handle a BM, guess I’ll ask that question tomorrow at my post op.
Best advice—- stay on top of pain meds/muscle relaxers the first day for sure & likely the second.
Here are a few pictures pre-op & after—- the afternoon is the greatest, I’ll try to get better tomorrow.
