4 weeks

Week 4, I get to remove my tape!!!! I’ve made it to my bed and am using 2 wedge pillows which I scored off Amazon Prime. Sleeping is still a challenge, since as stated before, I mostly sleep on my stomach or side.
Went to support my husband in his Triathlon this past weekend and boy oh boy did I swell up like a hot air balloon from being on my feet for WAYYYY to long. Sadly , my primary care taker , my mom, went home yesterday. Now I’ll have to conquer most of the day solo until my husband gets home . I’m confident when I have the binder & compression garment but once it’s off I am WEAK and shrivel up like a salted slug. May the odds be in favor this week.

3rd week

Behind in updating . I’m in my 3rd week of recovery . I’ve begun to get back to my regularly scheduled program. Still not standing completely straight & still taking something for pain about once or twice a day. My mom whose a nurse , has been a blessing staying with me & taking care of my littles ( ages 2 &3) while I recover. She leaves in 2 days, so week 4 will be challenge. I drove for the first time this week which takes effort and simple domestic duties such as reaching for things, pushing snap closure Tupperware. You don’t know how good you have it until it’s gone . I keep having to remind myself, as well as my husband, that it’ll take up to 6-8 weeks for things to somewhat get back to normal.

I took a trip to Victoria Secret, since I had a gift why not ?! I tried on one bra, lingerie looking in a 34c & it fit like glove .I stood there in the dressing room and just wanted to cry . For the first time ever I was happy & confident about buying a lingerie. It was as if this bra had been waiting on me because it was literally the last one & the only one I picked up . I feel liberated !

P..S. I didn’t take any pics while in VS since I was busy soaking it all in.

Drains out / ideal implant

Finally, overcame a milestone. Getting the drain removed . Oh life is SOOOO much easier without drains . I was lucky & only had one drain. Drain removal- not painful , slight stinging (from the sutures) & uncomfortable . You won’t feel anything you haven’t already felt with the drain in. I move around much easier now .
Onto the boobs!!! I am so happy with my decision to use the ideal implant. Funny thing, I was about this size while breast feeding . They feel heavy , like when I was engorged . I keep feeling them and am coming to the realization that these babies are here to stay & aren’t only around for a season.
