Great Experience, Thrilled with the Results So Far!

WORTH IT
I have been thinking of getting a breast augmentation for over 10 years, and now that I have finally done it I have zero regrets. I have always felt like I wasn't quite proportional since I always had a waist and a butt yet very small breasts (large A cup), and I knew I would eventually get a breast augmentation.
I have followed Dr. Barrett closely over the years and knew I didn't want anyone else to do my surgery. I love his emphasis on natural breast augmentations, as that was the look I was going for. I was aiming for a small to full C, something that would balance and not overwhelm my frame, and wanted them to look and feel as natural as possible (nice underboob, slanted on top and not too full, etc).
I finally bit the bullet and booked a consult, followed quickly by booking my surgery. Dr. Barrett and his team were very communicative and attentive during the period between my consult and the surgery. I just had my surgery on May 5, and had such a fantastic experience. I really hadn't been nervous at all leading up to the procedure, but the night before I fully realized that I was going to go into real surgery and had a bit of anxiety about it (nothing to stop me of course!). I had an early check in time of 6am the day of surgery, and the nurses and Dr. Barrett truly put me at ease. Once Dr. Barrett came in the room to review my goals and answer my final questions, I immediately felt my anxiety leave and I fully trusted in the outcome. The surgery itself went off without a hitch, and I woke up before I knew it with boobs (!!). I got mentor moderate profile 275cc both sides, dual plane placement (partially under muscle), periareolar incision (small incision at bottom of nipple).
I am currently on day 5 post op, and the recovery has been relatively easy, even easier than I expected (and also harder in weird ways if that makes sense). I love Dr. Barrett's emphasis on holistic healing first, so I've been following his recommended product and supplement regimen, and I am happy to say that I have not needed narcotics AT ALL, nor been in any real pain. It's mostly just been uncomfortable because of the tightness of my chest adjusting to the implants and because I have limited arm mobility. Each day gets even better, and I actually feel pretty normal now. I didn't really realize just how much my arm mobility would be impacted, which is the only hard and frustrating part, but it has definitely improved each day and I know it's temporary so it's not bothering me too much. I just love to move freely and do things for myself, which is why I am frustrated, but worth the temporary frustration!
Right after surgery my breasts had more of a pec look, super tight and compressed (which I expected from looking at RealSelf). They are definitely still high and tight and have a ways to go, but looking at my progress photos (which I've been taking daily), I can already see a difference. They are starting to round/fill out and drop down the tiniest bit. Still very firm of course, I'm looking forward to when they will soften up. So excited to see how they will change over the next several months! I use my handheld LightStim device (red light therapy) every day, and will continue to do so.
I went to my first post-op today, and got the first layer of stitches removed and my tape replaced. They also used their LightStim panel on me for 15 minutes. I will have three more post ops at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, and 4 months. Everything looks good so far!
I'll keep posting progress photos and updates as my new boobs heal! Ridiculously happy with them. Thank you so much, Dr. Barrett & team!

Figured I would add my physical stats in as I found it helpful when I was doing research, and it was hard for me to find many people around my size on here. I am 5’4” and about 115lbs, have a slim athletic build and am (was!) pear shaped.

I just want to say you look amazing and natural looking is better! I’m going to get e redone and would like a lower profile more natural look. Is what I asked for Natrelle moderate but was given a Natrelle full profile. I’m curious because your brand Mentor has to moderate profiles. That’s the classic moderate and a moderate plus can you share a picture of the implant card or any additional details about the profile of yours

I'm pretty sure I got the classic moderate profile and not moderate plus! I think this profile provides a really nice cleavage while not projecting too much, so it looks more natural. And thank you so much, I do love how they are large but still look natural.

1 week post op

Officially 1 week post op and I can already see the progress. I wish it were faster haha, but trying to trust the progress and seeing the difference only a week has made really helps! Boobs are starting to look a bit more normal and rounded, but still high and tight. My left is dropping slightly faster than my right, which makes sense because I’m right side dominant and that side definitely feels tighter. My surgeon’s office said to try to even out my arm movements between right and left, and I am doing extra red light therapy on my right side.

Forgot to mention that in the first 3 days after surgery I developed a lot of abdominal swelling that slowly traveled downwards (which is why my torso looks so odd in the earlier photos), but thankfully that resolved itself fully by day 5.

Started fish oil and turmeric supplements today, finished with antibiotics. Can’t wait to see continued results, will post a 2 week report.
