I am an asian girl 160cm and 45kg. I have 2 kids and breastfed both so my boobs were flat and nipple was droopy. I was sad that I was not able to wear any clothes I want without much thought or strapless bra without it sliding down. So I went to have a consultation with Dr Tan and I was comforted that there are many ladies with similar condition and how Dr Tan has helped them. I was impressed with the technology that the clinic has. A 3D image was rendered in the same first consultation. Dr Tan was very fast in his consultation. I could tell that he is an experienced doctor. Hence, I decided to go through with BA with Dr Tan 3 months after. I went with the recommended size of 285cc.
The day of the surgery was fast. My appointment was at 9am. I woke up half-conscious at about 12.30pm. They let me rest/sleep longer till my husband came at about 1.30pm. We then had lunch at Paragon before coming home. I felt fine till the evening where I was in alot of discomfort and breathelessness. I quickly took the painkillers and I was at ease again. I took the painkillers round the clock for 2 days. It made me very drowsy, I could hardly stay awake for long. So I stopped the prescribed painkillers and substituted it with ibuprofen and panadol. I was on ibuprofen and panadol till day 6 or 7. Felt okay after day 6.
Now I am 3.5months post-op. I wore the post-op bra provided by the clinic for about 2 months. I still do wear the post-op bra once in a while till today. Scar is short and small. Scar maintenance is easy too.
I am in my gym fit girl era and I couldn’t wait to go back to the gym. I was given clearance to exercise at 2.5 months. I started light and easy and progress accordingly. I lift weights, do back squats, deadlifts, assisted pull up etc. Given my choice of routine, Dr Tan has kindly offered a shorter followup session (1.5month-ly) to make sure the healing progress is not compromised, which I appreciate and it gives me peace of mind whenever I go to the gym.
Overall, it is a positive and happy experience with Dr Tan and team, and I would recommend him to my friends who are looking to do BA. The staff working at SW1 is welcoming and warm too. My husband recently commented that the breast looks natural. Made my day!
