10 day post op
I went in for my one week post op a few days ago to have my bandage tape removed. The nurse said everything looked great and I was told I could lay down, shower, and wear non wire bra, finally!! I think they’ve dropped about an inch or two. Anyway, today I drove my car and it didn’t hurt as much and I have bounce! My boobs NEVER bounced in a car ride before so that was different. Just glad I’m feeling normal again to run errands and return to work in a few days :) so happy
Day 5 post op
More range of motion and a bit more strength. I can dress myself, put on deodorant, tie my hair up, get out of bed (with my leg strength of course). I’ve been using dry shampoo and dry conditioner for my hair & I take a bath from the waist down. So I can manage personal care pretty well. I felt nauseous this morning but went away sometime later. I’m still on pain medication but running low, hopefully i won’t need it much longer. I’m not in much pain but I just don’t want to feel pain at all already. I still don’t get hungry but try to eat meals and eating prunes. I usually have a BM before bed but just glad I can go and clean myself. I continue with massages and even though my breasts feel a bit softer they’re still pretty high, I can’t really tell if they’ve dropped at all. I bought a chest compression band and been wearing it all day, hopefully it helps..
Day 3 post op
Conspiracy theories and chill
My range of motion has improved greatly but strength not so much. I can finally reach the faucet knobs to wash my hands but still can’t hold a bowl of soup or oatmeal and definitely can’t open the fridge or open a bottle of Gatorade. I have pet dwarf hamsters so my daughter and sister have been feeding them, refilling water bowls and wheel cleanings. Anyway I’m supposed to start massaging my breasts per recovery instructions and they actually got a tiny bit softer after doing so. One breast is bigger and harder than the other which is funny but I’m not too concerned. I ordered a post op breast compression strap on Amazon and should arrive tomorrow to help with my recovery.
