Fantastic Experience!

WORTH IT
I am only two days post-op (I had to count then to check I was correct as I can’t believe it’s only been two days!) so I obviously can’t comment on final results yet but - so far - the entire experience has surpassed my expectations.

I am in my early 40s and have considered having a breast augmentation for many years. My breasts were always quite small. I loved them when I breastfed, but then afterwards, they were a little sad and deflated.

I didn’t hate them but I always longed to have just slightly bigger, very natural looking breasts (like those I had whilst breastfeeding).

Over the past three years, I have had a few different consultations in the UK but was put off for a few reasons: general anaesthetic was one as, although I’ve had it previously with no issues, I just have a weird, irrational fear of it. Also, some surgeons were pushing me to have a breast-lift (which I absolutely didn’t want due to the additional scarring) and / or to go a bigger size than I was comfortable with. I only wanted a small size increase to fill my upper pole a little as I was otherwise happy with my breast shape and I personally prefer natural-looking breasts. I didn’t wish to look at all like I’d had implants.

When I first heard about the Preservé procedure around a year ago via social media, I was immediately interested as it seemed to offer everything I wanted: no general anaesthetic, easier recovery and smaller, more natural result.

At this point, I still would never have considered travelling abroad (I’m UK based) for surgery as I’d heard the ‘horror stories’ and was trepidatious enough about undergoing surgery full stop - let alone doing it in another country.

I got back in touch with the UK company I’d had previous consultations with (I’d seen three different surgeons with them by this point) to ask if they were offering Preservé. They weren’t at the time, but said they would be soon, so would get back in touch.

When they began to offer the procedure a few months ago, I went for another consultation. I was much happier with the procedure and reassured by this new surgeon that I would be a great candidate and wouldn’t require a lift. It was VERY expensive (much more so than a regular breast augmentation) but I was willing to pay the money to have the procedure I desired.

After a second consultation, I was ready to book in but I am very limited by dates due to my job (teacher) and it was becoming difficult to arrange a date that both the surgeon and I could do even as far as early next year (2027) did not seem to be working out.

Around this time, Dr Emre popped up on my instagram so I figured there was no harm in enquiring. Little did I think that, barely a month after making contact, I’d have had my breast augmentation in Istanbul!

His assistant Feride was very attentive. At this stage, I still wasn’t 100% sure I would go through with it - it was something I’d always wanted but more of an idea I thought I’d be too scared to actually undergo, let alone abroad!

Pricing-wise, the procedure was a third cheaper than the quote I’d been given in the UK (& that also included my transfers and hotel stay).

We were back and forth with dates for a couple of weeks as my availability was very limited and specific, which unfortunately fell around the Eid holiday in Istanbul so it looked at one point like it wouldn’t fit my dates so I put that down to an excuse for me to put off surgery again… but then, in a very quick couple of days, they were able to offer the date I wanted and I literally ended up booking the surgery & flights two days before I flew out and less than four days before my surgery.

I was still unsure and nervous - especially because of the system in Turkey dealing with cash, but my nerves were calmed once I arrived.
I finally got to meet poor Feride who I’d been stressing out for weeks and Dr Emre himself, both of whom were absolutely lovely, as were the other staff in the clinic.

The hotel was really nice and literally next door to Dr Emre’s clinic. We had a consultation using 3D scanning / imagery and I decided on 200cc mini implants (the smallest of the two options Dr Emre gave me - which I was relieved about as I really wanted small implants only).

My experience in surgery was great. It was very quick and no real pain. I was brought back to my room to rest where I think I dozed for a couple of hours, ate the delicious meal they brought me, then was discharged.

I couldn’t believe that I’d just had surgery as I felt fine - just a little stiff in my breasts, similar to how it feels when you’re breastfeeding and your breasts fill with milk when you’re not with your baby to feed them.

I ordered an Uber, got back to the hotel, immediately washed, changed and went out for a long walk to get some lunch in the sunshine. I walked back again afterwards (approx an hour each way), then returned for an early night. The most difficult part was styling my clothes in a way that covered up the chest band I was (& still am) wearing!

The next morning, I went next door to clinic for a check up, was told everything looked great, given my aftercare and discharged.

I went back to the hotel, ate breakfast and went for another walk before my transfer to the airport and flew home last night.

Now I’m home and having no issues so far. Again, there’s the stiffness and tightness like when your breasts are full of milk and they are certainly quite large and solid currently for my aesthetic liking, but I know I need to trust the process and that the swelling will go down to hopefully produce the subtle result I am looking for.

Feride is still on call for any of my queries and here I am, going about all of my usual daily activities (except for gym exercise or anything too strenuous!) not quite believing I had this surgery only two days ago!

Thank you to Dr Emre and his team for finally getting me through something I’d wanted but put off for years (& at a much cheaper price than in the UK).
