The BEST Experience with Dr. Lombardo

WORTH IT
To preface this review, I have worked as an RN in plastics for years, and was very picky on choosing a surgeon because of my background. I traveled over an hour each way to see Dr. Lombardo. I truly had the best experience with Dr. Lombardo and have recommended him to everybody I know. I am officially 3 months post op, and extremely happy with my results.
The whole office moves like a well oiled machine. At the beginning of my journey, I had a terrible consult with a different surgeon and Dr. Lombardo completely talked me down from that and eased all of my concerns. This was absolutely not his responsibility at all but he did it anyway which showed me what an amazing provider he is. They also worked with my scheduling wise so well due to my need to travel to get to appointments, surgery, etc.
In regards to the surgery itself - I have never had surgery or been under anesthesia before. Their anesthesia provider was amazing and listened to all my concerns. The nurses helped me so much and were so patient with me when I went back and forth on the size I wanted. It was a big decision and I appreciated the patience.
I ended up choosing 385cc natrelle SRF under the muscle. I’m 5’3 140lbs.
I had previously breastfed 3 babies (1 year each) over the last 8 years. I chose a size big enough that I didn’t necessarily “need” a lift.
I have a wide sternum, and Dr Lombardo was very informative from day 1 on my expectations. I of course wanted that classic cleavage look, but he educated me from the start that it was important for me to have realistic expectations based on my anatomy. I also was very concerned with how my nipples looked - I disliked them so much before hand. He urged me not to do anything with the nipples in my particular case and I am so happy I trusted him, because I now have no complaints and actually love the way they look now.
I also love that he does not typically prescribe pain medications, and did not for me. He prescribed medications that treat the root problem and not just mask it, which I really appreciated. The mediations worked perfectly as expected and I never felt the need for anything additional.
I had one weird experience within my personal body that had nothing to do with the doctor or practice but was just how my body reacted. They warned about trapped air after surgery and could feel like “popping” or bubbling. I experienced this a bit more severe than I expected, and only on one side. It went all the way up to my neck! I could push from my breast to my upper neck, and it would sound kick crackling or popping. This only last about a day, maybe 2, and then resolved on its own just fine. I just didn’t expect the air to travel this far but like I said it was all resolved within really quickly.
Overall I had the BEST experience and BEST results. I wake up every single day and love the way they look. I could not be happier.
