8 weeks post-op and I am absolutely in love with my results

Today I am 8 weeks post-op and I am absolutely in love with my results! I am so grateful Dr. Schlesinger did an amazing breast augmentation for me. My journey has been one of the greatest experiences with Dr. Schlesinger and his whole team; from Honey, Dee, and Maddy in the office to Kay, Darlene, Clara, and Brandi at the surgery center, I couldn’t be happier with my choice of surgeon. Dr. Schlesinger is not only very skilled at what he does; he has an awesome personality too! — I went in for a breast augmentation consultation in December 2020. I was nervous going into his office, because of past experiences and not knowing what to expect with this one. I was greeted by Micah, the receptionist at the time, and she was absolutely so welcoming; warm and friendly. I did have to wait some time in the office before my consult, which I did read others complaining about the wait time, but I mean they have drinks and snacks for you so- no complaints there from me! It gets pretty cold in there, so be sure to dress on the warmer side. Dr. Schlesinger comes out of his office, goes to the receptionist desk and grabs the next file. He calls my name; it’s my turn to go in for my consult! Going into his office, he introduces himself, as do I; he is very charismatic and professional. He asks me what he can help me with. I say, I’m looking to get a breast augmentation. He smiles at me and says, I do those quite often, I can help you with that. In my consultation, I put on a bra and tried on some sizes. Dr. Schlesinger was very professional while examining my breasts and did not make me feel uncomfortable. Micah also was in the room with me and her energy was very nice and nonjudgmental, which also made me feel comfortable. Doctor really took his time with me and answered my questions and didn’t make me feel rushed. It really sparked my interest how honest and knowledgeable he was about the procedure and his methods, explaining what he thought would give me the best results based on my situation. I had tuberous breast and wanted to the incision in the armpit but he explained how another method would be better for me. Dr. Schlesinger’s patient coordinator, Honey, is who you speak to next after meeting with Doctor. She walked me through what the next steps are to get my surgery. Don’t be intimidated by her beauty- She is super nice! And sweet and caring, and doesn’t make you feel judged. It wasn’t until a few months later till I decided to actually pull the trigger and go through with the breast augmentation. I contacted Honey and she got me set up on the books! My pre-op appointment was in May. I met with the nurse, Adela, first. She was very friendly and briefed me on all the paperwork and clarified everything when I had questions. After, I met with Dr. Schlesinger and we went over sizes again and bringing my boyfriend along with me this time, Doctor explained everything to him. It really is so nice to have someone who is patient, understanding, and caring as your doctor. I had some questions a couple weeks before my surgery and Honey is the best. One day I went to pick up all my medicines and had a moment because I was confused I was missing one of the prescriptions. I texted Honey and she was so nice to call me back, even though it was the end of day and she was already driving home. At that point, I didn’t even have my surgery yet, and the support was truly amazing. June comes around and it’s surgery time! I see Nurse Sarah first and she gets me all set up. Then Dr. Judy, the anesthesiologist, comes by to clarify any questions I may have had about the anesthesia. She was so nice and cheerful, which definitely helped me be not so nervous about the anesthesia. Dr. Schlesinger comes into the room next and does all his pre-operative procedures to get me ready for surgery. He clarified all questions my boyfriend had about post-op procedures and assured us that it was going to be a fantastic surgery, but it was really Dr. Schlesinger’s energy of confidence, one can only feel when in the room with him, that makes you just trust him and know that you are in the best hands; I felt safe, confident, and excited going into my surgery. One minute Dr. Judy is putting the mask over my nose and mouth and then next minute I realize I’m out of surgery! The very next morning, I go in for my first post-op appointment. It was at this time that I was going to see what my boobies looked like for the first time and once I saw them, I was shocked! They certainly looked nice and big but I just couldn’t believe those were mine! Dr. Schlesinger said the recovery process was going good so far. I remember saying that it looked good so far “but it’s just painful.” He told me a boobie-bee joke that made me feel better and was actually really funny, but it was just really hard to laugh at the time. I had to go back to see him about everyday for the first 5 days because of my drains; everyday I went in to see him, it wasn’t quite ready to take them out. I felt bad after going there for the third time and it still wasn’t time to take them out; I felt like I was wasting his time. But at every visit when it wasn’t time to take the drains out yet, he always took his time with me and made sure I was doing well. He certainly is caring. If he had time, he shared some amazing stories with me- what an incredible life he has lived. It’s astonishing how devoted and dedicated Dr. Schlesinger is with his patients. After surgery, Doctor gives you his personal phone number so you can call him whenever you have a question or issue. One night I had a complication with taking my bandages off, so I messaged him about it. He was able to call me not too long after and clarified to me how to take the bandage off, and he even offered to stay on the phone with me while I did so, just in case something else were to happen. Another time I developed a blister from the ace wrap, so I contacted him, he was still at the office but it was the end of the day around 7pm and he still took me in and got me all fixed up. Other times I’ve texted him with my concerns and he gave me a call back resolving everything to be okay. It is really inspiring how nonstop Dr. Schlesinger works, he simply is always there for his patients and truly cares. My post-op appointments have been fabulous. Dee, the receptionist, is always great to see; she welcomes you with warm cheerful energy. Dr. Schlesinger always takes his time with me, no matter how many weeks out I am. And Diana, the sonographer, is so sweet and awesome! You’ll definitely have fun talking stories with her on your visits. My breast augmentation journey has been such a pleasure with Dr. Schlesinger and his whole team! I’m now at a point where I go to my checkups every 2 weeks and I am sad. They have all played a vital role in making this transformation so amazing and memorable to me. They really become part of your life and routine for a moment. So when you’re deciding on who to go with, a Doctor’s team is just as important as the Doctor himself/ herself, in my opinion. And with Dr. Schlesinger- you don’t just get a phenomenal plastic surgeon, but you also get a wonderful team of individuals who also make an amazing impact on your journey. Dr. Schlesinger really is, by far, the best out there.
