I had been wanting to get a breast augmentation done for awhile, prior to my actually surgery, but put it off because of timing, cost, etc. Finally I turned 21 and decided now was the time but where do I start, what surgeon do I go to and is this even doable? I scheduled a consult with one other surgeon, aside from mine, and after reading reviews and hearing the bad experience my stepmother had I decided against them. I then found Minneapolis Plastic Surgery, a smaller facilitated building and immediately loved the layout of the website. Everything was easy to navigate, labeled by section and had before/after pictures of each procedure. I then went ahead and contacted them to schedule a consult, was seen within two weeks and had my surgery within two months. Dr Gervais is very knowledgeable and skilled in his practice, which made me feel a lot more comfortable but I was still very nervous regardless. He listened to what I wanted/was trying to achieve, and then gave me his input. On the day of my surgery I arrived and was greeted by a nursing assistant whom read all the instructions to my driver, and then assisted me in prepping for surgery. This woman, along with every staff member I’ve had interactions with here, have all been beyond exceptional! Right before my surgery I met with my surgeon, and the anesthesiologist, where I was able to express last minute concerns and make changes as necessary. My IV was placed, I was brought into the surgery room and before I knew it the surgery was over. Pros: -They administer the anesthesia through the IV, rather than a gas, which eliminated any nausea I could have experienced otherwise. -All the prescriptions; muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatory, nausea and a stool softener, if necessary, are prescribed for you so there’s nothing to worry about. Pain in the first week was the hardest, in my opinion, but was manageable with the pain medications and rest. - They offer the option of financing through care credit, which made it possible for me to even get my surgery. -One type of implant they offer, and the one I chose, is guaranteed for life and does not need to be changed every 5-10 years like other options. - They use an app called Klara, that allows you to interact with providers at this facility in regards to any of your scheduling or procedures. This is where all your forms are completed and forms of identification can be uploaded. All this information stays on the app, which allows you to access it at any time. Response rate is same day, or next day. Cons: None, I would get this procedure done again in a heartbeat. My experience, the staff, the building, pricing and quality were all beyond exceptional and I am very happy with the outcome. You really pay for what you get! Money well spent.
