Consultation Review: Don't Be Fooled!

Over the past few years I’ve lost 150 lbs with diet. I’ve been wanting to have surgery to correct loose skin. Because I live in MN, where plastic surgery costs are high, I researched surgeons in other states, which is how I found Dr. Montag. I drove the 12 hours round trip in 2018 for a consult, and then again a few months ago. Dr Montag assessed me, and quoted me $14k to do a breast lift with implants AND a full circumferential lift. She said this would all be one single operation. So, I started putting together plans to take off work, get a caretaker and Air BNB, etc etc. I was in touch with her office during all of this. Of course, she was fully aware that I lived in MN and would be staying in NE to recover. The day I was supposed to book my Air BNB and make my surgery down payment, her nurse called me and said Dr Montag had decided not to do my surgery because I lived so far away.
It gets better though. Thankfully I later found a wonderful surgeon here in MN. He was beyond shocked that she was going to do all those procedures in a single surgery. He said he would only do them in 3 separate procedures.
I’ve since had my breasts done with him, and they’re beautiful. He told me that I likely dodged a bullet with Dr Montag, and I would have to agree. Don’t be fooled by her low prices and offer to combine procedures!!!!!!!
