How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.

Delighted by my care & my new cleavage!
Doctor Li is deeply kind, highly skillful & highly educated about breasts. I love my results! I even have cleavage, which he (and the two other surgeons I consulted...always get three quotes) all said would not happen. It’s better than I hoped.
I deliberated about subpectoral vs subglandular placement of the implant.
Only Doctor Li was clear and honest with me about what happens with a subpectoral implant: the pec is cut and reattached leaving you with about a 15% reduction in strength. The recovery is substantially greater too. As soon as Doctor Li explained that my pec would be cut with a subpectoral placement of the implant, my decision to go subglandular was easy.
Also, subglandular looks more natural. This may be a controversial opinion but, watxh carefully as women with subpectoral placements use their pecs. It does look off as the implant is moved by the muscle.
The con against subglandualr is that as the skin thins when you get into your 60’s, you may see the edges of the implant show. Doctor Li says you can get an injection of your own fat (harvested from some place where you do not want it) around any edges that show. The cost is currently $1k for that procedure. As soon as I knew this, I was completely confident that subglandular placement is my choice.
Recovery was pretty easy and I really had no actual pain. It is not super comfortable but, I was never in terrible pain. I would not be able to say that if I had gone with a subpectoral placement! I never needed the Valium or narcotics. The pain control w Gabapentin and ExtraStrength Tylenol was plenty.
A supportive & confortable bra is important to a good recovery and the long term lift of your new breasts. I awoke from my surgery already in the bra that he asked me to wear for 6 weeks. It is super comfortable yet still perfectly supportive. It would’be been a big headache to go shopping for this after surgery. The fact that he sizes you and provides this is GREAT. I loved all aspects of their care and service.
The whole team was very caring and professional. I felt completely confident in them.
Getting straight & truly informative answers to my questions is important. Doctor Li is the only Doctor who gave me the answers I needed. I was unaware of which questions to ask. It did not occur to me to ask, “do you need to cut and re-attach a muscle to complete the procedure if Incoose subpectoral placement?” I will be forever grateful that Doctor Li explained this and is so capable of doing really fine work.
There is a certain amount of art to getting the size right. He has a good eye. I told him that I wanted to be able to turn these up or down & not have the kind of breasts that really ask for attention (high profile). I also did not want to have them in my way while teaching Yoga. He kept my vision in mind, even when I temporarily went nuts and thought I wanted to go huge. I can look huge when I want to now but, they are not in my way when teaching. He really set me up well.
He guided me to the medium profile, more cohesive gummie gel implants. That turned out to be perfect for me.
The proof is in how you look and feel. I am thrilled by both! I only wish I did this at 22 instead of 50!
I completely trust Doctor Li. His is a really fine surgeon and a person I can trust. I am going to trust him with my nose and lower face lift too.
