Surgery and Recovery

Morning of, everything at the facility was a breeze and, when the hospital staff learned who my surgeon was, they all fangirled and reassured me I was in good hands. Apparently the guy is a local legend. Awesome.
The entire pre-op was quick and the anesthesiologist was hilarious. I got marked on and then I was wheeled in for the main event. All I remember was 5-4-3... and next thing I knew I was in my recovery room. I don’t remember any of this but apparently I looked down and smiled before napping a bit.
I woke up a short while later and felt great. I was able to move normally and the car ride home, though bumpy, was pain free. That night I did as instructed and slept propped up (I also made sure I medicated before any pain kicked in). The next day I was up and at ‘em and got to check out the finished product. They were the weirdest looking things I’ve ever seen. I looked like SpongeBob Square Boobs. I rested and took my meds for a total of 3 days and on day 4 I returned to work with an OTC pill as needed. During my recover Dr. Kelishadi was available within minutes on text and checked in on me frequently. I can honestly say my recovery was relatively painless and quick!
Did my boobs stay square? No way. They turned into my best feature. My girlfriends are breast aug connoisseurs and they all agree mine are friggin’ amazing, but that’s for another update.

A decision 20 years in the making

I've wanted implants since I was in my late teens and despite my mom telling me I was still growing (love my mom but lies, all lies) I was still a 32B. Being an athlete, I didn't want massive Dolly Parton style breasts, but I definitely wanted to feel more womanly and developed, and I wanted to look better in clothes. Well, wafer thin models became the in thing and I slowly came to tolerate my little spider bites. Men didn't care what I was working with and I eventually married. Twice. Apparently little boobs are husband catchers, who knew. My second husband and I had our daughter and during pregnancy I felt so beautiful in my skin. Everything about my growing body felt right. After delivery I breastfed as much as I could, and as I did, my body deflated.

It took five years, an affair, and an impending divorce for me to finally take the plunge. Money and fear of surgery were never the issue, I just never felt justified in taking care of myself when I had others to care for. Well [RS bleep] that. Divorce is a damn eye opener.

Even though I never pulled the trigger on my surgery I had been religiously researching doctors so I could keep up with the trends. Dr. Fisher was always my number one, but as the years passed his work didn't speak to me anymore. I liked Dr. Motykie but something was off there too. Thanks to Instagram, I was turned on to doctors like Dr. Newen, Grigoryants, SEJ, and finally Dr. Kelishadi.

When I checked out Dr. Kelishadi's IG page I started to see a pattern. He didn't have a one size fits all approach, rather he worked with each individual body type to enhance what nature gave. If you wanted more though, you definitely got it, if you wanted less, you also got it. What ultimately sold me were his revisions. He was able to fix every mistake made by other surgeons. To me, that speaks volumes. He took cases that looked unfixable and turned them into beautiful women. I was at my lowest and felt unfixable, but I was confident that Dr. Kelishadi could help me get my self-esteem back. Ladies, I wasn't wrong.
