Deciding Implant Size - Motiva Ergonomix

Hi! I am currently in the process of figuring out my doctor, going to consultations and deciding on a size for my breast augmentation I plan on having early 2025. I wanted to share my experience and talk to others who have already gone through the process or are in the same boat as me currently.

I am 5'3, 110 pounds, and am currently a 32 A or maybe even a 32 AA.

I just had my consultation with Dr. Tietlebaum in Santa Monica as my second consultation ever, and I left feeling really good about choosing him as my doctor. He is known for his natural results which is what I want and how I found him in the first place. When I went to my appt. I showed him photos of my desired look, and he suggested I go with 220 cc's. He said that if I went any larger, I would start to get the round look and all of my reference photos were very smooth on top and not super round with an upper pole look.

He also highly suggested I go with Motiva Ergonomix implants, which just became available in the US market last week when they became FDA approved. I was stoked because I had looked into these implants in the past for their promised natural looking/feeling results but saw they were only available in the UK and other places outside of the US.

Once he told me they were available now, I felt comfortable planning to use those for the actual surgery but we had to stick to trying on the regular silicone implants during my consultation since he didn't have the motiva implants in the office yet.

So I tried on the 220 cc's of the regular silicon implants and felt good about them. I did notice when I took a photo in the mirror they weren't really as noticeable as they felt in my shirt/on my body. I asked the doctor if he were me, if that's the size he would go with and he said yes. I asked what size bra size that would bring me to and he said around a small C. When thinking of getting my boobs done, I always thought a size C sounded like a good size, not too big, not too small, so when he told me that I would be a small C it put me at ease about going with that size.

He also checked the size chart for the motiva's and translated the 220 cc's into the motiva brand and he said they don't have the exact size so I'd have to either go slightly up or slightly down. I said I'd rather go up in size slightly for those implants. My fear of getting a boob job is regretting I didn't go bigger. I think I'd rather live with a regret that I went to big vs too small if I end up having any regrets. haha

So I left feeling great and sooo excited. I wanted to get the surgery done that day! I just couldn't and still can't wait!

Anyways, here I am 3 days later looking at other results on real self of people who did 220 cc's and I feel like it's too small! I'm really confused and wondering if I told my doctor I'd want to 250 cc if it would make a difference. When I look up people's experiences with 250 cc it does seem more like the size I want. It's just weird because see photos of naked boobs, they all look big, but then when clothes are on it looks soooo much smaller.

So yeah, Idk. I'm gonna talk to the doctor and see what he thinks about going bigger. I'm wondering if it's worth it for me to sacrifice a smooth chest to boob transition and go for a "rounder" look to go more for a size I want? If that makes sense. In a perfect world, I could get larger C cup boobs but have them look 100% natural and hang.

I'm attaching the photos of my dream boobs below for reference. It's confusing because I think the girls on my boob wishlist have HUGE boobs like I would guess D's. I just want to get a size that would make me have their proportions but fitted to my body. SO maybe 220 cc would look like the photos on me? Idk it just seems really small compared to what most people get. I feel I have seen most people get 300 cc and up.

My doctor told me even 295 cc would not be possible and way too big on me. I'm confused!!

Go in between 220’and 295. I wished I went bigger and I had the same issue of them not looking big enough with clothes on

Hi there! I just got 270cc demi ergonomix2 two weeks ago and I was also going back and forth between 250 and 270. I can already say I'm happy I didn't go smaller.
I'm 5'7", 115 lbs and was a 32/34 AA. Now probably a full B.
When I compare the after photos with my rice bag photos I'd say 270cc dual plane is equal to 230 grams of rice (in stockings).
I noticed in your wish pics all the breasts had very little projection. Have you considered going with the ergonomix mini profile?

Hi! Thanks for getting back to me. It seems like everyone I've read about or chatted with only regrets not going bigger vs wishing they went smaller. It's so good to hear you're happy with your decision!

Since I didn't get to try on the actual ergonomix impants in my shirt, I'm too sure about projection. My doctor had two ergonomix implants out for me to touch but not try on and I think one was the "mini" and the other was "full" so he chose the in between "demi" for me saying the mini may be too much projection but the full was too little. I think demi is suppose to be in the middle of those two, right?

When you say " Inoticed in your wish pics all the breasts had very little projection. Have you considered going with the ergonomix mini profile" do you think the photos of me trying things on look like too much projection vs my wish pics?

Maybe I should go back one more time, to do a second try on.

Thanks for your input! So helpful :)

You're right, I too got the advice of getting the bigger ones when deciding between two sizes. And for me that was definitely the right decision.
To be honest, trying on real implants or even sizers doesn't really help a lot when choosing implants with 20cc difference. It helps to find out what range you would like, but I made the final decision based on my rice bags and a gut feeling ☺️ (and of course after looking into a lot of references of similar built women on here :)
The projections on try out appointment look fine to me, but again, it's hard to simulate the actual outcome.
Ergonomix come in 4 projections (mini, demi, full, corsé) mini being the lowest, so I think demi is actually a good fit if you don't want them to stick out too far.
I'm not planning on posting my entire journey, but I'll look if I can send you pictures...

So, I have mine in 5 days. I also kind of wanted what you want but a little more. I’m 5’1 and 45kgs so I’m quiet petite and my doc actually suggested motiva Demi 285 for me and also made 3D versions with 300cc and 310cc however I wanted 310 and he said no so we settled for 300cc motiva ergonomic Demi.
I will let you know how I go, I’m so worried it will be too little as it’s hard to gage with the pics on real self.
I also am a petite girl so it’s different for me! I’m very happy if they will look like my 3D versions

Just had 670cc implants by motiva joy if that helps.

Struggling with Implant size choice - less than 3 weeks until surgery

Hi guys! I didn't realize choosing a size would be so hard! Every hour I go back and forth between 245 cc demi and 295cc full. I will admit the 295 does feel a bit too large on my chest when I have the sizers in but every talks about boob greed so I was leaning towards that for awhile. Right now I'm back leaning toward 245 cc because I am so thin on my top half, I have no fat once so ever except a litttleeee tiny hand full of lower boob haha. I think I want to avoid an augmented look since all my reference photos are women with natural breast tissue. I am also telling myself that at least I will have boobs even if 245 feels to small at first and that I can play them up.

I wish there was an in between size but because of breast width (almost 11cm) my doctor is going of the ergonomix chart for 10.5 and 245 demi and 295 full is really my only two options. Sometimes size is my priority and sometimes shape is. I think I should do 245 but just have to accept I will always be envious of woment who have natural C cups. (oh well)

Going to share photos of my before so any one who has a lot of wisdom with this can help me decide 100% haha. You would think after the countless reviews on here, I'd have a better idea but it seems like even girls with my stats who got 295, the sizers don't look as large on them as they do for me. I also don't want to appear heavy looking and I want to stay petite but with cleavage. You know what I mean? It's so tough.

I know exactly how you feel. Reading your post feels like i’m writing my own issue … waaah! My surgery is on the 18th of March, I did already sign agreement and just went for the 245cc ( mine’s a mini profile though) and i have less tissue than you , but i’m also smaller and shorter.

The 295 looks good on you on the sizers! But i know what you mean , when trying on sizers, it feels so much bigger !

I opted for the smaller cc cos i love to workout . I didn’t want it to get in the way. And again, same as you, i’d be happy with 245cc , at least that’s something , compared to nothing!

Also smaller boobs a trend at the moment. So maybe 245cc is the go, also, you have alright breast tissue to start with, i think you’ll look amazing with 245cc demi

Ahh you're surgery is so soon! Very exciting! Would love to hear how you feel after and how you feel immediately about the size. Keeping in mind size affecting workouts is a really good point!

I ended up booking one more last consult with my doctor for next Wednesday so I'll have to share what I commit to.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. Wishing you the best with your surgery! :)
