Doing great!

I feel amazing with my new breasts. I’m 20 weeks out and I’m in love. They aren’t as late as I wolf have wanted HOWEVER the surgeon can only put in an implant that fits and causes the least amount of complication. I went with ultra high profile at the last minute. Healing went really well. I took my meds regularly and both implants have dropped evenly now. I’m still not wearing underwire bras, I’ve stuck with lightly lined sportish ones. Think Hanes casual cotton bras, but I sleep in the ones I wore post op. I could wear underwire but I still have some minimal sensitivity around the incisions. I also have not done anything to help minimize the appearance of the scars yet. My body does not heal cut or scratch scars very quickly, and I’m not worried about the scars appearance so far. My right Breast dropped and healed faster than the left which is normal, and the right scar has also lessened in visibility quicker than the left one. Overall I’m incredibly happy with my decision. It’s been fun to go from worrying about clothing that made my body look less feminine to now worrying about modesty. I thought I would be showing them off as much as possible but I’ve actually taken a dive into modest clothing choices. That is how I know it was right for me, because it wasn’t about what other people see when I wear my clothes but how I felt underneath them. I do plan on a future surgery in 6/7 years and going up in size, but for right now I’m 100% satisfied.

Almost a week out of post op

Pain is much better, feeling achy but good! Still taking my gabapentin and celebrex. Inflammation went down considerably and I’m back at work today. My right breast is settling really nicely, I’ve had not issues with my incisions. My left breast is still sitting pretty high and it’s more sore than my right. I’ve been wearing the surgical bra and compression band since day one, some small breaks from the compression band because it was making my armpits really sore. These photo are from yesterday before I showered. Still have the tape on the incisions. I’m not messing with them until the surgeon says something about it.

Day 4 Post op

Doing good! Staying on top of my medications has made the process very tolerable. I thought having to sleep upright would be obnoxious but I’ve been taking my pain meds and Tylenol PM at night. That’s been super helpful with sleep. TAKE YOUR MEDS ON TIME. For real, even an hour past the time you need to take them can make a big difference in your pain.

I’m pretty bruised up, but it’s not alarming or anything crazy. My incisions feel good. I’m having an itchy/burning sensation in them today and I’m bloated to hell but I’m feeling good.

Staring work again today but I do desk work so that’s not a big deal either. I took a shower after my post op appointment and I’ve been changing into a clean bra every other day. My boyfriend has been really helpful- I’m afraid to bring my arms above my head. I’ve been doing lots of beading and diamond art. That’s kept me busy while Ive been avoiding moving around too much.

Still 110% worth it!

Also- I had a nausea patch that was causing my idiom to be blurry. Dr. Leyngold was amazing and got right back to me about my concern. 10/10 surgeon! I’ll see him again in a week.
