How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Implants were placed unevenly - now I have capsular contracture
I have taken 6 years to write this review and I’m sorry to the women I could have helped if I wrote this sooner.
I have the deepest regrets for choosing Dr. Mills as my surgeon. I was young and naïve and had no idea what I was doing when looking for a surgeon. I literally couldn’t have picked a worse doctor.
Even without the complications I suffered he was very pushy about performing the surgery, and about picking my size. He pushed me to go much larger than I was comfortable with and reassured me that that is what I would want.
I got my surgery done back in 2014. After the surgery I was in excruciating pain. My friend told me they actually dropped me when helping me out of bed immediately after the surgery. Looking back I find that very strange. Only an incompetent doctor would try to get a patient out of bed when they were still completely out of it and unable to walk from anesthesia... I’m definitely going on a tangent here. I have so much to say about Dr. Mills and none of it’s good.
After my surgery he has me doing all kinds of weird aftercare exercises; he had me lay on top of books with weights on my back and also had me tie shoe laces around the bottom of my breasts and wrapped around my neck.
I was recently told by a different surgeon that my implants were placed unevenly in the pockets. I wasn’t sure what the medical reasoning was for my boobs being uneven.
About one year after my surgery is when things started getting unbearable for me. I was unhappy with the results but it wasn’t until I experienced a capsular contraction that I had absolutely hate it with my boobs.
I now have unevenly sized and placed breast. One is firm and hard as a rock. I definitely wish I did more research and went with a more reputable surgeon.
Before my surgery I was a 32B and afterwards I was a 34D. Now I am finally looking into getting my implants removed and leaving towards having a fat transfer done in lieu of implants.
I understand a capsulation is a risk that you take when getting implants done, and in my opinion it carries far too great of a risk. When I went to see Dr. Mills for my one year checkup he was very rude, cold and unsympathetic. He made me cry. I couldn’t even stand to look at him anymore.
If you would like to hear anymore about my experience with Dr. Mills I am an open book and here to help! Please feel free to reach out!
