Breast Botch Job Has Left Me Devastated

UPDATED FROM littlemissnervous
2 months post

Definitely not improving…

So these photos were taken today. I am now 7 weeks post op. The asymmetry is becoming increasing obvious. I still have a hole in my left breast from where all the fluid came out of which isn’t healing. The right breast is significantly harder then the left and seems to be getting higher so I suspect it is the start of capsular contracture. As for my right breast, considering it’s been less than two months since procedure and the method of implant (bi/dual plane) meant that the top part of the implant should be under the muscle (notice how you can see the outline of the implant, which should not be the case) I suspect that the right implant has dropped out of position. Also my nipple looks like it’s trying to run away… I am also starting to wonder if the implant itself has ruptured as the breast itself feels TOO soft, literally it’s mushy.
My surgeon has said is my fault for not having an uplift, and hasn’t even addressed the asymmetry, but he has said he will correct them if needed?! He won’t even listen to me when I try to express my concerns, and while I understand it takes months for them to settle I think it’s fair to say revision will almost certainly be needed at some point. I would really appreciate a professional opinion on what may have gone wrong and what possible revision surgery may be needed.
Thanks in advance since.

I am so sorry this persisted another month, your surgeon should definitely be taking better care of you and your concerns! I agree that although there is still probably more D and F to go that they’re thus far significantly different, and the harder breast is concerning. I hope this gets seen by a dr!
Did you get revision? These was most definitely your surgeons error and not your fault!

Breast Botch Job Has Left Me Devastated

I am 39 years old with one child who is 12. Following weight loss I had breast augmentation on the 20th August 2021, mainly for volume and a little lift. My surgeon said I did not have enough excess skin to warrant a mastopexy and augmentation and that the bi-plane tech night would give me sufficient lift. I should mention that I do suffer with some significant mental health issues, primarily major depression and body image issues.
Unfortunately the breast augmentation has not gone as I expected. The surgeon used a slightly larger implant for the left breast than the right (the right was marginally bigger to begin with) so I had round mentor smooth silicone moderate plus implants, left 375cc and right 325cc. Unfortunately I didn’t take any before pictures but I can assure you my breasts very 95% symmetrical and had very minor sagging. I noticed my right breast looked slightly different with a few days after the surgery and while I am aware they require much more down time I just know that they aren’t as they should be. I am 4 weeks post op and they are already more droopy than before surgery, and the implant placement on my right breast looks and feels to be in a different place to the left. The pictures speak for themselves and I am really extremely upset about how they look. The surgeon has said I chose not to have a mastopexy because I didn’t want the scarring which is simply untrue. I should mention that I saw two other surgeons both of whose felt I didn’t not need any work doing, one in fact refused outright because he said they were very good as they were. I cannot afford revision or uplift and don’t know what to do. I believe the right implant has somehow slipped from its position the upper half is definitely not under the muscle as it should be. My left breast is now infected, again I told my surgeon it was but he said the pain was normal then a few days later I got the most extreme amount of puss out of the incision. I am now on antibiotics but it continues to leak. Is there any advice anyone can give me. I am aware it can take up to 6 months to settle and usually they need to drop and fluff, but if mind drop any more they will be around my waist. I’m just gutted.

I'm sorry to see what you're going through. It's appalling that the surgeon won't fix it. Even IF it was your error, why would this doc want their name associated with a less than stellar job? If I were you, I'd start looking for lawyers. Sometimes even a demand letter from a lawyer is enough to get the ball rolling. I would also write a complaint to the Better Buisness Bureau. If nothing comes out of it, I'd go to local media and ask them to write a story. They can withhold your name and identity. You should also name the doctor in your review.
You're right breast actually looks like it's settling normally, the left one looks high like it never dropped into the pocket. Is it firm? Could be capsular contracture. You're still early on so your left breast should drop and match the right one.
I’m still 3 days pre op but I think you still have time to go for your drop and fluff! I’ll keep checking back but my doctor said it could take months.
