Breast explant (implant removal/no lift) - Surgery date: August 11

I'm currently researching surgeons for a breast...

I'm currently researching surgeons for a breast augmentation. I am considering Dr. Freiman or Dr. Fisher in Miami. I've seen great results from both surgeons, still undecided. I have seen beautiful results in the D.R., but I prefer to stay in the U.S. I haven't had any consultations yet, hoping to have this done by the end of the year.

Need boobs this summer!

BBL Supplies I used...

Just like everyone else, I bought supplies that I did not use. If you plan to stay at a recovery house, ask your caregiver for a list of supplies they suggest you bring.

I am almost 6 weeks post op. I only wore one maxi dress in Miami during my 5-day stay, I slept several hours a day, 2 post op visits to Vanity, then back to airport. I didn't use my vitamin E oil, gauze/tape, back scratcher, yoga foam roller, itching creams. I haven't itched yet. I tried to use the P EZ urinal, didn't work for me. Sitting on the toilet backwards to pee worked best for me. I took Bromelain pills for 10 days after surgery & have been eating pineapples for 6 weeks straight, honestly I can't tell if this improves swelling & inflamation...In my opinion, my garment, foams, and triangle helps with swelling. I use a rolling pin to rub arnica gel into my back because it's soothing. I tried arnica athritis pills for pain, didn't seem to relieve my pain. Never found any pain pills that worked for the hot lava burning sensation in my back, thankfully haven't felt that in 3 weeks, hope its gone for good. When my back was burning in the middle of the night and I couldn't sleep, took 2 sleeping pills from the Dollar Tree, slept well. I ruined my new robe the first night, it was a bloody mess. I never wore my new slippers, just wore compression socks. I never wore panties in Miami, my menstrual cycle began on day-3, I used tampons. I wore sports bra's my first 4 weeks post-op instead of my underwire bra's.

Supplies I used...
DOG TRAINING PADS/CHUX
HIBICLENS (Walmart)
ARNICA GEL
WOODEN ROLLING PIN (Walmart)
LAXATIVE (CITRATE MAGNESIUM)
COMPRESSION SOCKS
FLEXIBLE STRAWS (drink laying down)
SHOWER CURTAIN LINER (bed)
BOOTY BUDDY PILLOW (sitting)
BUCKWHEAT CYLINDER NECK PILLOW (sitting)
MEMORY FOAM TRAVEL PILLOW (for my neck/back....Walmart)
3 LIPO FOAMS
SPORTS BRA'S

Vanity prescriptions...

Vanity gives 4 prescriptions (pain pills, antibiotics, suppositories, nausea meds). I only filled 2 of the scripts (Tylenol w/codeine & antibiotics/Cephalexin). I paid $47 without insurance. I wasn't nauseated after surgery and I had my own laxative so I didn't need the suppositories. Cephalexin (side effects) gave me a headache everyday and made me dizzy. When I returned home my doctor prescribed me a different antibiotic, which worked better for me.

The Booty Buddy Pillow

I love my booty buddy! It was perfect for my 6 hour plane ride. I use it daily at work and in my car. I wasn't supposed to sit for 8-weeks; I am 12-weeks post op, and I still sit on it every day at work because it's soft & comfy. It also feels great behind my back in the car, now that I can sit. The size of the booty buddy is perfect for all my needs. I had friends who tried to save money making homemade bbl pillows, they complained of being uncomfortable or their pillows were too high to sit in their car. I spent $5,000 on BBL surgery, spending $69.99 to protect my investment was a no-brainer. I highly recommend this pillow.

Implants removed - no breast lift

My breast explant surgery was yesterday. Surgery was 2 hours, my right silicone implant was ruptured. I wasn't in my yesterday, but took a pain pill anyway. No pain pills today. Its only sore when I push myself up to stand. I feel good enough to go to work tomorrow, but I am off til Monday. I have two drain tubes, only one side is draining (ruptured side), the other side is barely draining. I wanted to see if I could live with my boobies without paying for a lift, I think I can. I will buy a push-up bra and call it a day. I paid my $5 co-pay for surgery, deal of the day!
