4 weeks out
My photo won’t upload but they have shrunk down to the perfect size. I fit most 34 c. They are still pretty firm and not natural feeling. My surgeon tells me it’s normal for them to be this firm at this point. I know from research that saline is not As squishy feeling as silicone and that it can take months for them to fully soften. I’m ok with that and hoping that they soften a good bit over the coming months. I resumed running before I was 3 weeks post op. MAin challenge was finding a bra supportive enough that I could get on without aggravating my armpit incisions. They were a tiny bit sore while I ran at first but now at four weeks postop they feel great while I run.
Athlete/runner of 3 Breastfed Babies, over the Muscle 385cc Saline
After breastfeeding three babies for a total of four years I was not super happy with my sagging, “deflated” breasts. I am 5ft 9, 142 lbs and muscular build, athlete and runner. 31 yrs old. I have always been an A or small B. After breastfeeding I could barely find bras that fit me other than sports bras, bralettes etc. Had initially scheduled a breast augmentation a year ago and backed out due to anxiety regarding procedure and potential issues that could arise. A year later I went back and took the plunge. I had prior experience with Dr. Laurence and chose him due to his expertise and excellent bedside manner. Going into the consultation there were two MUSTS for me— over the muscle, saline, and twilight anesthesia. Fortunately this is exactly what Dr. suggested. Due to these factors my recovery 9 days post op has been very easy. I was back to taking care of my kids (age 2 4 6) alone at home by the next afternoon (24 hrs after my procedure). Other than sleeping for three hours after the surgery at home, I was up and about immediately and functioning. 9 days out I have very little discomfort, they look great, and I am able to do abdominal exercises and lunges/squats. We did 385cc over the muscle due to my ptosis—but over the muscle is what i wanted anyway due to the easier recovery. Twilight anesthesia was great. I was totally out. I will upload some before photos, 2 days post op photos, and my current photos. Breasts look good but are still sore to pressure and very firm. Taking Omega 3 fish oils as long as I have implants, as recommended by my Dr to keep them soft. I put NOT SURE instead of worth it since my complete results are not yet realized.
