Three days until surgery! I wanted to post because Real Self has been a huge help in finding the right surgeon and calming my nerves. I also rarely see reviews from Asian women, considering how we scar differently, I wanted to document my healing process. I chose Dr Salemy because of his natural looking results. I know that I might need to see a dermatologist to fade my scars and will document that process when the time comes.
I'm currently a 32A and a classic pear shape. I have very strong legs and glutes so I wanted a BA to balance out my upper body and add fullness. My boobs aren't proportional to start with. Lefty is a little fuller and more narrow while righty is wider, smaller, and points a little more outwards. I know that an augmentation is going to enhance those differences so I'm trying to give myself some grace and not judge my body and possibly uneven results too much.
I'm doing this during the pandemic so that I can recover without worrying about going into an office anytime soon. Although I'm already fully vaccinated, I took my covid PCR test yesterday and picked up my prescription. It's getting real, there are so many pills. And I'm already overwhelmed by looking at them. I'm not sure how I'm going to swallow 6 of these with a small sip of water day of surgery.
I've gotten some recovery essentials (dry shampoo, wedge pillow, zip up hoodies) but I'd love some recommendations on how to prepare while I'm nesting!

I did it! I have boobies! 300cc on my left and 325cc on my right to balance them out.
I’ll actually write out more later about the surgery experience but I wanted to post some full body photos from my pre-op appointment first. Part of the reason why I got his was to balance out the size of my lower half of my body where I hold most of my weight.

I had my first post-op appointment today and got to see my boobs for the first time! I was a little worried that they might look a little crazy and boxy but I’m very happy with them. While waiting in the pre-op waiting room I was uncertain about whether I should go bigger, I’m glad I didn’t make that change last minute. I think this is a really good size for my small ribcage. My boobs are definitely swollen and hard right now but I know my skin will gradually adapt to them so my chest doesn’t feel so tight.
Everyone in the office was kind and made me feel cared for from the very start. The wonderful nurse who helped me with the sizers was the ultimate hype queen, Dr. Salemy took the time to answer all of my questions and was honest and realistic when I described my concerns (about scars). The day of surgery the nurse who took care of me was attentive and kind, she brought me heated blankets, a fuzzy robe, and socks when I was cold, and the anesthesiologist was the real MVP before surgery. I’m glad that she was the last person I interacted with before drifting off because she made me feel so comfortable. Hospitals and needles make me anxious, but she distracted me from the needles and I felt at ease.
Trying to sleep last night was really rough. I don’t ever sleep on my back and I change positions often throughout the night. I was really worried that I would disregard all the pillows and find myself sleeping on my side or stomach when I woke up. I also still had on the scopolamine patch which made me extremely dehydrated (cotton mouth) so I got out of bed every few hours to get water and pee. Tonight is going to be better. The patch is off and all I need to worry about is pillow placement again.
