6 months post A to C-cup - natural, elegant shapes & proportions

12 Months post-op

WORTH IT
Update!! At 11 months post op I finally went back to pull-ups! I surely could have done so earlier if I hadn't exaggerated at month 4, triggering a sieroma which delayed complete recovery. It feels awesome to be able to exercise without restrictions now. Implants are symmetric and soft and I couldn't be happier. This said, my purely personal opinion (feel free to ignore me okay) is DO NOT get a breast augmentation if you have at least a lovely B cup - it's not a walk in the park (remember there IS a risk of complications and there WILL be more operations for you down the line) and big boobs do not make you sexier - boobs that are proportionate to your body do. If your boobs are proportionate to the size of your body - don't do it. If they're not, like mine were not, and you have narcissist tendencies like me, go ahead - you won't regret it.

Tips for edema?

6 months post-op, still a bit of swelling under right breast - you can't see it in the pic because I turn my chest (a bit on purpose). I pulled the muscle working out a few months ago, developed a small sieroma, and the two breasts have never been the same since. The left one is perfect, the right one has remained with an annoying edema that does not seem to resolve. Anyone has any tips how to make it resolve faster? Dr. Piombino says just wait, it will reabsorb by itself in time, but perhaps some of you have experienced it and can help me, or perhaps confirm that it does reabsorb? I'd be super grateful for any support! Thanks in advance..

What is your implant position ? Under/over the muscle or dual plane ?
Dual plane :)
Could you tell me about excecise effeciency after you did it, please ?

Did you feel you need to pay more patient to get the old performance before you got new boobs ?
For sure!! Exercising after breast augmentation needs to be approached with lots of care. I was used to exercising at high intensity and volume, without any movements restrictions before the surgery, now 6 months post-surgery I am still far from my previous performance and the range of movements is limited. It will take more months to get back and Dr. Piombino told me that I will permanently loose 10-15% of my muscular output (strength) in the chest. This is not a big issue for me since I work out to feel healthy and attractive, not for competitions, but if you are an athlete that is certainly something to consider. In the first week, I went for long walks, moving my arms slightly so as to increase circulation in the area, never lifting my elbows. In the second, I could lift my elbows a bit and stretch my legs with bodyweight lunges and squats. In the third and fourth week I could lie down so I started doing some glutes as well, and even some abs, especially lower abs. I could lift my arms above the head and rotate the shoulders etc. In the second month, I started exercising again, pretty much any bodyweight movement (apart from pull-ups, of course), careful with HIIT, and also use light weights, but I still had to perform push ups on my knees (weird for me), and no chest presses or overhead movements with weights. After 6 weeks I could swim and cycle, and in the fourth month I gradually increased weight to get back to my usual fitness routine, but on the fourth month I developed a sieroma and had to scale back a lot. Now at almost 7 months the sieroma is almost 100% resolved and I am working out kind of normally, because I still feel discomfort in the right breast after a while so I am using a lighter weight for the upper body and normal weights for the lower body. I can't perform movements where I hang from bars (like leg raises or pull-ups) because that is still very uncomfortable. Running is fine. You always, always, always have to use the post-op bra worn as tight as you can when exercising. I hope this helps and I am happy to answer any other questions!
This is absolutely clear answer. Thank you very much.
This is such great information. I’m 10 days away from surgery and I’m a competitive cyclist (no pro! Haha) but even speaking with the ladies at the office there’s not much detailed information for athletes that want to jump back into fitness. I know I’m going to lose so much fitness and I’m okay with that but also want to easy back into to not risk injury.
Thank you! Your detailed response has helped me tremendously!
Great! Very happy to hear this!
They're both perfect!
Could you tell me what type and size (cc) of implants you have?
285cc Motiva round - going back I'd do a bit less - BUT. The volume of implant is determined by the diameter of the implant + protrusion. The surgeon will measure the diameter that will sit nicely in chest, from there, you will discuss together the fullness you wish to reach. Your set of options is not intuitive: it is determined by a table clearly showing these measurements and you should have a conversation with your surgeon based on that table. I hope this helps!
I am due to have mine done 29th Nov, like to do fitness and climb indoors and outdoors, been offered under muscle 260cc or 285cc diameter difference is 0.4cm which bigger one would create more side boob, unsure which to go for as feel I want to not be too restricted, currently 30a...would you go for less side boob? Only thing is bigger one would start further up under pectoral muscle, mine already pretty prominent
They and you look amazing!
That is wonderfully kind of you, thank you!
