I am quite anxious and giddy for my up and coming surgery this Thursday, 02/07/2019. Been lurking and reading from Q&A to reviews. I've never looked at breasts as much as I've looked in the past week! A short intro - I'm a 43 year-old mom of two, breastfed both. I'm 5'8" and teetering between 125lb to 130lb. My bra size is 34b (barely) on a good day but most likely a 34a. My BWD is 13.
I've gone to two doctors and went with Dr. T.Y Steven Ip in Newport Beach. The process from calling to scheduling was swift. Looked through his website and pored through dozens of breast augmentation photos and liked what I saw. Looking to go from a weak A to a solid full C cup. Dr. Ip recommended the Natrelle 485cc Soft Touch High Profile based on my BWD of 13 and the look that I wanted. Given my current breast tissue (or lack thereof) he will be placing the implants under the muscle with an inframammary incision.
I do have anxieties and fears about the procedure and its outcome. Going under (anesthesia) makes me nervous, always. The after effects of anesthesia is never pleasant. Questions on the choice of implants and their possible side-effects (rippling, bottoming out, infection, etc...) Another nagging concern that I do have is the what and why - as explained to my kids (I'd like to think of me being my kids beacon of body positivity). A lot to ponder prior to Thursday.
I will be posting before photos as soon as I get the chance prior to surgery. Praying for the doctors' steady hands and keen eyes.

My stats for anyone needing some comparison. I'm 5'8" tall and weigh 127lbs., 13 BWD as measured by Dr. Ip. Breastfed 2 babies. I will be getting Natrelle Soft Touch 485cc (smooth, round, high profile), inframammary incision, submuscular placement.

I have bwd 13. I’m subglandular now since December. I have 345 and 360 Moderate Inspira Softouch. My natural breast is like you. I don’t know diameter of 485 hp, but I think you will be bigger than your wish pic and a “DD” for sure or E. It is a big implant. I am a DD. I lack a little projection to fill some 34DD bras, but the cups of 32DD fit me with an expander on the back. You have some breast tissue. I would ask your surgeon if he thinks that size matches the wish picture. Sorry I’ve been through hell with surgeon mistakes until I got 2nd surgeon 6 months later/ and I think you should talk size again with him. That size is fine but I can’t see it matching your wishpic

Sorry to hear of your unpleasant BA procedure! It is heartbreaking to go through what you've gone through as having an elective surgery usually takes years of careful decision-making prior to the surgery itself. I appreciate your suggestions and thank you for sharing your initial experience, albeit a bad one. I will be speaking with my doctor prior to Thursday just to iron things out and to make the final decision on the sizing. Thanks!

I see i the chart there is a “Full” profile in the implant you saw with 13 cm diameter and 5.4 cm projection for 485 cc. For comparison my right breast (naturally smaller) is 360 cc moderate with 12.8 diameter and 4.2 projection. My left breast is 345 cc (wish got 330) with 12.5 diameter and same 4.2 projection. You implants would be a little wider and 1.2 cm more projection. If you want to fill a bigger cup that is your size! I have really gotten out of shape with exercise interrupted , but will get back in, and now have back fat I really kept at bay wog swimming. So I have some more fat on me than you, just know 5.4 projection is a lot. See if you want projection over clevage: the moderates give more clevage is what I think your Dr will say. If under muscle usually 50 more cc than if over to look relatively the same. A “moderate” profile with 13 diameter is 375 cc and has a 4.3 projection. For someone 127 lb that will look very nice is you want to be able to hide or show off I think- they will def be visible in bikini. If you want fuller you have the original idea or could go down in diameter a touch. You want to make sure you have enough tissue coverage to protect against contracture. Through time (decades) ladies gain some weight usually. I have 15 pounds heavier than 30 years ago (temporarily I’m 5-7 more and misch less time in last year due to surgeries- I will get back!) so as a big sister ; ) I’d say ask him to compare the looks and ask him which look your wish pic is to him. Make sure you guys are on the same page. Demand enough time. Communication errors happen- so make sure you get what you want and he needs to make sure he understands you. Show him more wish pics. Hopefully he has various sizes so calm and ask them to order other sizes if you want options as he can be fedexed other sizes before your big day! Sorry to get heavy- I just want to make sure you have a positive experience and I don’t see that pic being 485 go at all- it looks more like 350 or maybe 400 and prob moderates not hp but could be

I reccommend subfacial, which is above muscle but most docs don’t do that or subglandular. Less pain. Breast ages with implant. No muscle cutting or animation deformity. No waterfall deformity. Much quicker recovery. Easy access: the new implants do not have much contracture- they happen under miscle but it hides it more. Subfacial and subglandular feel great- no jumping of muscle. MRIs dedicated to breast can pick up cancer regardless of location.

Without knowing your kids ages, you could say you’re restoring to pre-baby breasts.
I had “Experal” drug at 2nd surgery which is a 4 day non narcotic injection they put into surgical site at surgery and it worked amazing. It had a very high success rate of making recovery MUCH more tolerable. It’s about $300 extra and worth it as for anesthesia, they are so skilled with that so it typically goes smoothly.

You could even buy a bra with underwire and cup and with tape measure see what 13 cm diameter on actual underwire. Looks like and pick how much you want the cup to project. The. Physically out implant in that bra and ask if it would fit.. just ideas!

As you can tell, my breasts are not twins...they’re more like sisters ????. Front view is quite deceiving - looks like I have some breast tissue than I really do have. As you can see from my profile, there’s barely any.
