I have wanted breast implants since I was 15 and my boobs never grew. I will be 35 in a few months and decided it was finally time. I have a child so I lost a lot of upper fullness after breast feeding. I have since been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder and started to workout more and eat healthier to decrease my signs and symptoms which resulted in a lot of fat loss. I just had my second consultation appointment and am very excited for my 285cc mod profile with level 2 cohesiveness. I was informed my ribs are more square shaped compared to everyone else who is typically rectangular and because of this I cannot get a very wide implant without it looking silly. I also have "thin skin" and you can unfortunately see my ribs very easily. I workout a lot as I mentioned, so I don't want to go too big and not be able to complete my workouts. I also work in the sports medicine field so I need to be able to work a lot with my hands and don't want them to be overly large and hinder my job. My surgery date is set for July 1st and I honestly just cannot wait!!! I'm so glad I'm finally doing this for myself.

I'm not sure what kind of autoimmune disorder you have but I would research BII (breast implant illness). Since implants are a foreign object they may cause issues to your autoimmune disorder. I never was one to believe in BII and always thought BII was in everyone's head. However roughly about 18 months after surgery I started having symptoms. Trust me I'm not the point where I would want to remove my implants but if it ever did get bad, I would remove them and possibly consider a BFT. Good luck, do your research and continue to update. ;-)

Thank you. I have done research and there is no scientific proof of the two being related. My rheumatologist is completely fine with me getting implants. Dr. Colville has also addressed this both times during my meetings and continues to do research into the BII. I appreciate you reaching out to make sure I knew about this.

I just find it amazing after everyone explants they feel better. And I truly truly never was a believer of it until I experienced lots of hair loss, joint inflammation, brain fog, confusion, vertigo, lymph node issues etc. when I never had this before implants. It's kind a hard to deny. I just like to make people aware to do their research and make a decision for themselves. You'll love the confidence you receive after having surgery but trust me in a few years down the road it will make you second-guess is vanity worth all the issues that come along with it. Once again good luck.

Its also extremely hard to say you would not have developed those symptoms anyway had you not had the implants. Plus, there are also several cases of women who don't get better. Prime age for autoimmune in women is 20-40. Please do not lecture me when I have dealt with autoimmune since I was early 20's and it took till I was 31 for someone to finally listen and diagnose. I have years of dealing with and research on all of this that you do not have. This decision was not made lightly and discussed with medical professionals and reading lots of creditable research articles. Autoimmune is actually more popular than people realize. It honestly sounds like you have your mind made up already about your implants being the cause and you feeling so terribly, so I'm wondering why you don't have them removed already?

I will not remove them because I don't feel deathly ill like some ladies. I have some bothersome issues but nothing I can't handle. I have issues with my back that was there before implants so I don't attribute that to implants. Not everybody gets sick. Everyone's body reacts differently to foreign objects in their bodies. They also must properly detox afterwards. No need to get defensive. I'm just sharing some info for you to ponder on. I was exactly like you and even if you read my posts early in my journey I never believed that could happen. I'm just saying keeps track of your health afterwards. No need to be upset when people are just trying to help. By all means I am not one of those ladies in the BII groups that are "extra". I personally love my big boobs! I just got a good bit of info from Dr on the Q&A forum here, watching Dr. Chun explants etc. I wasn't prepared for any possible complications afterwards. Just a tip wherever you set up after your BA keep a little shoebox with supplies handy. Get like wet wipes, chapstick, straws and do not use childproof caps if going under the muscle. Take care and have a great day! :-)

You saw that I have an autoimmune disease and chose to lecture me about BII haha. Do you post the same on everyone else's posts who are getting breast implants, or just mine? I've done plenty of research as I've wanted them for 15+ years and once again, have spoken with two medical doctors who specialize in my disease and one who has been a PS for years and years. I know the risks. I clicked on your name and saw your posts and it sounds like you have other health issues that may be contributing to your signs and symptoms also. Diabetes if not maintained properly can cause tons and tons of issues. I also feel, if you are going to get on my post and lecture about BII but but not have yours removed, you really shouldn't of continued to go on about it. Thanks for the suggestions on what to keep by my bed. I'm hopeful I will not be too bad as my surgeon said I can lift my arms over my head, shower, and even go out to dinner the same day. Take care!

You can click on my profile to see all the comments I have made on RS. As for my diabetes it is well maintained by my diet that I don't take medication for it anymore. My A1C is 5.4 and has never been better. As for the BII, I sometimes like to let ladies know about it before surgery as honestly I didn't hear of it until afterwards. Sorry if you took offensive to me just passing information on. Thanks for replying back.

Wow I had to say, the cognitive dissonance is so real in so many people, it's scary. I agree with your posts, as I have researched this topic as well, and it makes sense 100%! Our bodies are constantly fighting off foreign invaders, in so many forms, including man made synthetic IMPLANTS, of all sorts, that we force into our bodies!! It's not natural at all, so automatically, of course, our immune systems will be in a constant battle to protect the body, from whatever it is, as that is exactly what God designed our immune systems to do!! So the autoimmune, inflammation response, and other anomalies, are a result of the constant battle, as long as the foreign body is invading. Some people chose to believe whatever makes them more "comfortable," and that is a problem, that is affecting the entire world today...:(

Please take your comments elsewhere. My post is not here for your to preach. As someone who has a diagnosed autoimmune and this was cleared by my rheumatologist you just sound ignorant. So once again, take your negativity and thought pushing, lack of concrete research comments somewhere else. Have a gorgeous day!

As I was reading their comment I was wondering why the were posting on your post. I'm glad you spoke up.

I know right. Got to love people who just research what they want and try to shove it on people. Clearly they have only focused on one side of things and not actually looked at the entire picture haha.

They look great! What size are they ? Silicone or saline under or above muscle ?

Thank you!!! Love the size. Hopefully won't lose a ton when the swelling settles down. I was told 330cc (via my mom who talked to my doctor) and I did mod profile silicone under the muscle.

Just cannot brag enough about the amazing staff at Dr. Colville’s office. Angela has honestly been the best with all my questions and concerns. For example, yesterday it was decided we would have matching shirts made for a bachelorette party I am attending a week after surgery and had some questions about bras and what I would still be wearing so I can plan the type of shirt I would wear accordingly. She answered quickly and answered all my questions. She has been very kind, understanding, and informative not just about this but with my concerns about size and just in general questions about the surgery. She is amazing!!! Getting more and more excited as the countdown gets smaller next smaller. 57 days till new boobies!!!!!
