My body decided it DID NOT like one of the medications I was taking. This is what my entire body looked like. I broke out in hives from my scalp and face to the bottom of my feet. If you've ever had hives, you know how itchy they are, or if you've had chiggers, it felt like I had chigger bites covering my body. It was one of the worst experiences of my life, I may have preferred being in labor, it was bad. I stopped all medications and started a steroid and got a prescription for the itch (that kind of helped). The steroid definitely messed with my mood and I was sad and felt despairing at times, which is not normal at all for me.

1 week post-op

The incisions were already looking better after the first week and things were going really well. I thankfully had full help with the kids and the house for a full week. I'm thinking maybe my incisions look thicker because they're glued together with tape over them and I got pretty big implants, so maybe they needed to make sure the incisions didn't open. Just my guess. But I didn't go to a random surgeon, I researched doctors in our area for a while and found one that has a lot of followers and great reviews on instagram. So just trusting that everything will heal fine.

I still have some mild pain. I've stopped taking hydrocodone and am just on Tylenol now. I'm not allowed to take ibuprofen yet. I'm on 8 different medications and have been mostly just sleeping day and night because a few of them cause drowsiness. I can only sleep on my back which has been driving me crazy and has made my back really hurt. My breasts are still very high on my chest and very tight, trying to be patient with the healing process. It's been very rainy and cold here since my surgery, I think that on top of the medications I've been on, and the fact that my husband is going back to work tomorrow, has me very emotional. I have 4 kids and there's a lot of anxiety about how I'm going to properly care for them since I'm still not well.
