I'm posting this on day two, but these photos are from day one. I was SO nervous about the anesthesia (I've never had it), about the surgery, and the recovery process afterword.
I showed up at 5:45am, the staff was so friendly and made me feel at ease. They asked me a bunch of medical questions and then started my IV. The doctor came in, he was great! He measured me and made markings and was encouraging to me. The anesthesiologist came in and explained the process and said he was going to put something in the IV to help me be relaxed. As soon as he put it on there I started to feel a slight sleepiness. Then he and the nurse walked me to the surgery room and helped me on the bed. I remember him asking me one question and then nothing. I didn't even realize it was coming, but I was out in an instant. I remember when I woke up in the recovery room it felt like maybe a few days minutes had past. I overheard a nurse say, "It's 1:45", and I was SHOCKED that so much time had passed. When I woke up I wasn't super with it, I was really drowsy and would wake up for a few seconds and then was out again. When my ride was there to get me I had to really wake myself up as they helped me to the wheel chair. I was surprised that I wasn't in pain, just felt a lot of pressure on my chest and a little bit of soreness. When I got home my husband was really on top of my medications, I have 9! So I just stayed in bed the rest of the day and slept, and was awake for very short amounts of time. Overall I had a great first day and was surprised about how fast everything went and how little pain I was in considering that I had a breast augmentation with a lift. The only thing right now is the soreness and my back really hurts from laying on it constantly. Also side note, my boobs are WAY up high and feel like rocks. That supposed to be normal and over the next several weeks they will settle and softe. I think they say it takes a total of 6 months before they're fully settled.

Hey, I'm feeling some mild pain now at 5 days post-op. I've stopped taking hydrocodone and am just taking tylenol right now. My breasts are still super high and really hard feeling. I've been really emotional this evening, probably from a combination of things, but my husband is going back to work tomorrow and I'm feeling really anxious about taking care of my kids without him.

The reality of a breast lift is pretty gnarly. The incisions looks scary and my breasts look misshapen. The doctor and nurses assure me that everything looks great and it will heal well. This doctor has great reviews so I trust them, it's just really hard to see my breasts this way right now.

Oh no! I'm so sorry you're going through this. I've never seen incisions heal like that. I just had an anchor lift and mine have been flat since day 1. I would suggest you go to another doctor for a second opinion and quick. Please take care!

I agree! You really need to see another doctor because your incisions shouldn't look like this! I'm sorry we're not trying to scare you, we're looking out for you, so do see another doctor as soon as possible. Take care and hopefully everything will be great!

I still have some mild pain. I've stopped taking hydrocodone and am just on Tylenol now. I'm not allowed to take ibuprofen yet. I'm on 8 different medications and have been mostly just sleeping day and night because a few of them cause drowsiness. I can only sleep on my back which has been driving me crazy and has made my back really hurt. My breasts are still very high on my chest and very tight, trying to be patient with the healing process. It's been very rainy and cold here since my surgery, I think that on top of the medications I've been on, and the fact that my husband is going back to work tomorrow, has me very emotional. I have 4 kids and there's a lot of anxiety about how I'm going to properly care for them since I'm still not well.

Hi, thank you for your posts. I am looking into going to the same doctor, have you healed? Are your results amazing? Any warnings, red flags, recommendations?
