An update!
It’s been 6 days since my surgery. Sorry I haven’t posted another update. I just wrote a long update on here and it disappeared..grrr
I have been sleeping heaps over the last few days. I still have pain but I would say it is more uncomfortable than anything. My RHS seems to be worse and I can feel the edges of the implant but I think that’s because it was my smaller side (smaller BWD). I have been able to lift my left arm since day 1 but I have limited use of my right arm. The worse pain is in my armpit on my RHS and the tops of the implants (they feel hard and high up). Every now and again the incisions cause me pain but I think it’s because the crop tops they gave me to wear feel tight and press against the incisions. My boobs definitely feel most painful at night and in the mornings. They feel similar to when I was breastfeeding. They seem to improve and soften a little throughout the day.
I was planning to go back to work today but I started with a cold yesterday as well so thought I would give myself another day to recover. I'm also not really cleared to drive again until tomorrow so it was a good enough reason to take another day off.
I haven’t told my kids that I had the BA and instead told them I had an operation on my stomach (long story but I had a gastroscopy recently and they took photos of my insides which the kids saw so they didn’t think twice when I told them this). My 10 year old daughter saw me yesterday in my crop top and said ‘gee mum, you said you had small boobs but they aren’t at all..they are pretty big!’. I’m glad she didn’t ask me any more questions but I agree they look very noticeable in just a crop top.
Sometimes I have a bit of boob greed but I trust my surgeon when he recommended the sizes he did. I can’t wait for them to drop and fluff and look less squarish.
I have my post op appointment on Wednesday where they will remove the bandages on the incisions. I am scared to see what they look like and hope the scars are not too noticeable. They feel raised through the bandages but hopefully this is just part of the healing process.
One thing I hadn't counted on is how much weight I would put on. I'm super bloated and have put on 3kg in one week! I'm usually quite active and go to the gym 3-4 times a week but I've been doing very little and the extra weight is depressing me. I have zero regrets about the surgery though and I'm very happy with the results so far! I think anyone who is considering a BA should go for it if they are doing it for the right reasons... for themselves, their self confidence and not for anyone else!

Oops...
I accidentally pressed post before I finished my last update...
I’m surprised that the pain increases after day 1 rather than gets better. I have tried to limit the strong pain relief, but had to take a Valium last night to help me sleep. It worked well but when I woke up this morning, my breasts were hard like rocks and so uncomfortable. I couldn’t move without experiencing a lot of pain and I needed help to get out of bed to use the bathroom. I understand the term ‘morning boob’ now! My right one is worse so I’m icing it to relieve the pain. My right one looks high and a bit weird. It’s like the implant doesn’t quite fit in my chest. I’m hoping it softens and drops soon. As mentioned, I have a narrow BWD (8.5 and 9.5) so the biggest the PS recommended I go was 255cc. They look quite small but I guess if they were bigger they would look ridiculous on my frame.
I am normally quite lean but I’m bloated and when I weighed myself, it looks like I’ve put on 5kg since last week!
I don’t mean to complain. I have zero regrets and know I just need to get through this next few days and weeks.

So much pain..
I think everything was still numb until yesterday. The pain was bearable but yesterday and overnight the pain went to 9/10. Sleeping in my own bed was uncomfortable. I slept propped up with several pillows but it was hard to move without being in lots of pain. At 2am I had to use the bathroom Everything hurts from the waist up..my stomach muscles, breasts, back, neck.

I am sorry to hear your were experiencing so much pain. I was in a similar position and just stayed well on top and ahead of all the pain meds. It really saved me, especially when looking after two young kids.
