I am starting my review since surgery is only 25 days away! I’m starting with a 34A cup after breastfeeding my two kids. I had my initial consult last week and booked my surgery for Dec 4. We did the Vectra imaging and went with 330cc and 345cc to account for asymmetry.

Truthfully I didn’t realize how uneven my girls were until I saw it on the screen so I’m trusting Dr Horns opinion to help even it out. I am looking for a more modest look so that I can cover up for a PTA meeting or push me up for date night.

One of my best girlfriends went to this surgeon and her results were perfect so I’m hoping for the same. Any moms out there have advice on recovery with little kids? My kids are 2 and 3 years old and I’m worried about not being able to hold them.

Hi!

Here is my vectra imaging front view and side. I’m looking for a more conservative look that I can play up or dress down. I think this looks like about the right size.

For those who have gone through it, how close to the imagined were your final results? Is this an accurate gauge of what they will look like?

Also these are some of my wish pics. Thoughts?

2 weeks!!

So the last 10 days have been a wild ride. I ended up testing positive for Covid last weekend and I was so worried it would delay my surgery. Luckily I had a daily mild case and I’m on the mend so it’s going ahead as planned.

I was hoping I could get some tips on sleeping after surgery. I heard you have to sleep upright?! How long do you have to sleep like that and what worked for getting comfortable??

I bought a foamwedge pillow and put my regular pillow on that. They sell them on Amazon.

Thanks! I was looking at those and trying to decide if it was worth getting. How long did you need it for? I’m anxious about recovery with two little kids. I need my sleep! Ha!

I just had my surgery on the 13th and I am still using it. The pillow is only 8 inches high at the top, so not a super high pillow. It's actually really comfortable. The bummer is that I am a side sleeper, and have to continue to sleep on my back for 3 more weeks.

The back wedge was torture for me because it was too high and put so much pressure on my lower back (after 2 nights I gave up on it and just slept on a regular pillow) but what saved me was the wedge that you put under your knees — not only does it help ease back pain but it helped keep me sleeping on my back (I was terrified of rolling onto my side because that’s the only way I normally sleep).

When did you feel like you could start to do normal activities like cooking, laundry etc? I have two kids ages 2 and 3, no idea how I’m going to get away with not lifting anything indefinitely...

By day 5/6 I started to cook (just have to move slowly and not make any sudden movements. I would ask for help if anything is too heavy to lift or too high to reach. The fridge was a little tough to open so I’d ask for help if it didn’t feel right. The best advise I can give is to listen to your body but don’t be afraid to use your arms - I tried to be as active as my body would allow every day and I’m positive it helped with my recovery progress. After a week I felt fine cutting into a steak (again slowly to avoid any muscle zings).

The hardest part for me was getting out of bed in the mornings to be honest because that would always be the most painful part of my day (going from horizontal to standing always gave a horrible burning feeling inside).

By day 14 I finally didn’t feel any nagging aches throughout the day. I haven’t really gone grocery shopping on my own so that’s the only thing I would be concerned about lifting too much weight. But aside from that all household activities are very manageable.

@chitownchicadee that is so helpful. I’m no stranger to surgery pain (two csections 14 months apart) but I do much better when I know what I’m getting into. Did you use any arnica gel? You used dr horn too right? What did they recommend you get before surgery? My preop isn’t until 2 days before so I don’t know if I’ll have time to get stuff

Just arnica dissolving tablets 3x a day - no gel. I had very minimal bruising too. I took the norco pain meds for about 4 days and then I kind of wanted to test the pain level and manage it myself (then I just took Tylenol extra strength for another 3-4 days). There wasn’t much they provided me at my pre-op that I didn’t already know to be honest - just what meds to avoid before surgery. The pre op was just taking pics and signing paperwork and authorization forms.
