I have a cookie cutter story like many of the profiles I’ve read. I’m 31, married and have 3 kids. The youngest is 3. I’ve always been flat chested and have researched breast implants for 10 years. I’ve called around to multiple surgeons and not many of them seemed right for me. Many of the ones I spoke with had a routine way of doing things; i.e. Always under the muscle, high profile, a certain type of implant. I wanted to find a surgeon that could be flexible and offer the best options for the what I had in mind. I’m a very active person. Always active with the kids, home DIYs and working in the yard and adventures. I haven’t wanted my placement to be under the muscle because I don’t want my boobs jumping and twitching with everything I do. I finally settled on a doctor who specializes in breast reconstruction. His work gives him a lot of know how to present options instead of giving me only one way of having my surgery. All my research points me to preferring subfascial. Placing the implant under the connective muscle tissue giving me decent coverage of the implant, less risk of capsular contracture than subgladular and a more natural, breast like slope. The doctor has agreed to this position but recommends I have fat grafting to help cover the edges of the implants. I have little breast tissue and a bony frame. I met with my doctor for my first consultation back in March earlier this year. My pre-op appointment was last Wednesday December 12th. I have complete confidence in my doctor’s ability. I’ve seen his work with his reconstruction patients and my surgery should be just as amazing. I’ve spent the months gaining weight to aid the fat transfer as per doctor request. My surgery is booked for January 2nd and I’m finally allowing myself to get excited! The bruising from the lipo suction is going to take several weeks to resolve. I’ll have to wear a full body compression outfit to keep swelling down and everything back into place. Subfascial implant position should be a quick recovery since my pec muscles will not have to expand and make room and not have to heal from the muscles being sliced. This is also the reason I chose this time of year to have my surgery because sweating with a full body compression outfit and surgical bra would be torturous during a summer in the south. Not to mention sweating increases ones risk of capsular contracture. I have my kids spending time with grandparents for the days and nights of recovery after my surgery. Thank God for my family!

I could barely fit in an 32A before kids and breastfeeding. After was like a joke. Mostly I wear sports bras and stuff the heck out of a bra to fill out my clothes. I looked for stats and measurements in other profiles I’ve followed in order to get a better idea of the look and size I would want to choose. So mine are:
125 lbs
5’7”
Pear shaped body type; I gain most of my weight in my hips and thighs
32A/AA very little breast tissue
Breastfeeding I was maybe a B cup
12 BWD (breast width diameter)
My doctor tells me my breast measurements are pretty symmetrical. I specifically asked if I have a slanted rib cage or anything that may result in implants being placed differently from each other or one implant being larger than the other. He doesn’t believe so but adds he’ll see when I’m on the table the day of surgery.

The highlighted sizes are the ones the doctor will have on hand the day of my surgery.
