Day 11 post op, incision pics

1famof6
WORTH IT$5,900
I? got a picture of the incisions which seem to be healing ok. They aren’t sensitive like I? thought they’d be. I’m feeling more and more like a normal person and can do everything I? need to. I’m still following doctors orders and taking it easy to expedite healing. I’m very eager to get back to the gym but I’m going to wait the full 6 weeks.

Day 9 stitches removed!

1famof6
I had my stitches removed today! It was a little tender but not overwhelming. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture before they put the new steri strips on. In 2 days I’ll change the strips an take a new picture of the incisions.
I was told to wear these steri strips for 2 days and then start alternating 12 hours strips/12 hours scar cream on the incisions.
I got the Novo scar cream from my PS. It’s $98 so it must be good right?! I’m also switching to sports bras to see if more support makes them feel better when I wake up. I’m only using bras that festen in the front or back because over the head is not an option yet..

One week post op

1famof6
So I’m definitely starting to feel better about my size. I’m still eager to see where they settle after a few months but I’m no longer so worried that they’re too big for my body. I’m very happy with the shape and feel like they look natural under shirts.
I’m not taking pain meds and haven’t been for several days. I still take Arnica and turmeric Curcumin for bruising and swelling. While I don’t have pain, I do still have discomfort and feel limited in some activities. I’m a stomach sleeper so sleeping on my back is no fun. I find that putting pillows on both sides of my body ensures I won’t fall in a deep sleep and roll over on my belly. Driving a car isn’t a problem but pushing and pulling to open doors is no fun. I can’t stress enough how important having a very attentive caregiver is. My mom has tended to me and the needs of my family so I can rest and not overdo it. I couldn’t have done this without her.
The stitches get removed on Thursday. I’ll post an update pic then. All in all at 7 days post op, I’m surprised at how normal and functional I feel. I’ve gone to Halloween parties with my kids and not had to let on to anyone that I just had surgery. Although when I come home I just want to sit and not do anything ????
