Here are some photos from my capsulorrhaphy revision 8 months ago (12 months since my original BA). I’m happy with the correction of the double bubble, however I still don’t have any sensation in about 70% of each breast — and I’m not seeing any improvement.

Let’s talk cleavage and wide gaps

It wasn’t until after my consult(s) and thorough research that I learned that cleavage wasn’t something many women can’t achieve without a push-up bra (or going with insanely big implants which was not an option for me).
While my chest wall relatively narrow, my breasts are wide set — and when a PS places implants, they want to be centered (meaning the nipple is centered on the implants). I used to think implants that looked wide on women were a surgical error, but as I’ve learned it is not. And while larger implants may have brought my boobs a little closer together, it only would have been a matter of millimeters.
So I just wanted to share what wearing a moderate push-up bra looks like compared to a bra with no padding. I think they still look good either way, but for anyone struggling with “wide gap” I wanted to let you know that everyone is just different!

Yes everyone is different. I've seen some women with wide gaps have beautiful cleavage after BA and seen some with none at all. It really is dependent upon your anatomy. Some can get lucky with cleavage by using a fairly wide implant with the proper size push up bra. Then some won't get any at all no matter what. We all just have to realize thats what makes everyone different and special in their own way. If we all looked the same what fun would be in that??? Happy continued healing.
Thank you for this. I am only one week post surgery and feeling down about them being wide set. But this makes sense :)
I know this post is 3 years old, but if you happen to still be around I’d love to know which bra you’re wearing in the first pic! I’m 2 months post op and mine are very wide set due to my anatomy as well. I’d love to find a good bra that can help with cleavage when I want it! Thank you!!

Revision scheduled March 5

It’s official I have a casulorrhaphy surgery schedule to correct the double bubble on my left breast. It sucks to have to go under again but sometimes these things just happen, the good news is it’s fixable and recovery time won’t be nearly as bad as the first time around, but I will definitely have to take it easy for a few weeks. At 12 weeks now I’m only just starting to get my upper body strength back weightlifting at the gym. But at least I can get my revision while it’s still in the winter months so I’ll be ready for beach season!

How is your doctor handling the fees? Do you have to pay a potion of it?
Just sent you a DM!
Your PS allows weight lifting like chest exercises etc.? I heard that chest exercises push the implants further apart when under the muscle. Not sure of your placement but I know some people do over that are into exercise. Good luck!
Yeah even though I’m all clear for weightlifting, I’ve refrained from any direct chest exercises as I don’t want to risk any lateral movement. Not sure if I’ll ever be able to do chest press/push-ups again, but I’m steering clear for the time being.
