My surgery is two weeks away and I’m so nervous! I was on the border for needing a lift but wanted to avoid the scars if at all possible so my PS suggested we first do a sub-fascial implant, wait six months, then reevaluate if a lift is still needed.

My ideal size would be only a C cup or even just stay the bra size that I’m at, but I really just want to fill up the skin I have. Before kids I was a perky D cup and after nursing them now they are still a D but no upper pole, just a bunch of skin sitting in my bra. Not cute!!

My biggest anxiety about the surgery right now is the size. PS ordered 350, 400, and 450 moderate plus xtra silicone for the day of, but I really am afraid of being too big. I don’t want to look all beefy up top like I did when I was just recovering from having a baby!! But I’m also concerned that too small of an implant when I have so much boob tissue to fill will give the rock in a sock vibes. Before photos are added!

Thanks for sharing your history with us!
I'm currently thinking about having surgery on my breasts as well.
Our breasts are very similar, after the birth of my children, my breasts also became saggy.
Did your husband support you in the decision?
Did you get any other problem areas after giving birth?
I hope your surgery will be safe and go well.
I hope you will keep us updated.

best regards

Hi! So at first DH wasn’t really on board. He said it’s a lot of money to spend and I like your boobs the way they are!

But we went on vacation for our anniversary in April and I have to wear super high neck swim tops, anything low cut (shirts included) if I bend over bc there’s so much skin and no filling in them, they fall right out. So I came home with this ridiculous tan line all the way up to my neck and was like, I’m sick of this. I have to wear an underwire bra for support, but then over top a jersey cami type bra to keep them tightly in my bra. Like I said, if I don’t do this, I bend over and they fall out. They have just become very uncomfortable and I had enough and DH said if you want to do it, go for it.

So I had my consult in May and scheduled surgery that same day!! It went pretty fast.

Other issues from pregnancy- I do have a bit of lax skin and stretch marks on my lower belly, but I don’t mind them too much. Maybe someday if this surgery goes well I’ll go back for a tummy tuck but in the meantime I’m not too bothered. My stomach is still flat, and not nearly the nuisance that my boobs are!

I will add, also, that my surgeon said I have one nipple a bit lower than the other (which I had never noticed but now that he pointed it out i totally do lol) and also would benefit from a lift. But I’m not looking for a high and tight youthful look, not am I looking for bigger. I want to just sort of add the filling back into my “skin envelopes” so they don’t look like udders when I bend over, and they wear comfortably in clothes and swimsuits again. If that means I’m still a bit saggy I’m okay with that! Natural boobs sag, I’m 34 with kids, I’m not trying to look like a 22 year old

Thank you for your detailed view.
Your breasts look very nice and I can understand that you want to have back the fullness you had back then.
Every mother should feel beautiful in her body, it's nice to see that you have the courage to do so.
Unfortunately I am not yet so brave, I would like to show you how my breasts look, unfortunately I do not yet know how I can upload pictures here. :D
Then you could see how much we are alike and that there are other mothers who also struggle with such problems.
Did you have the feeling that your doctor understands your wishes?
Do you have more pictures, for example, how the doctor has drawn in the markings?
How much will the procedure cost for you?

Best regards

No more pictures yet but I’ll update and add more after the procedure. It’s very hard to find before photos that look similar to mine, most “pseudoptosis” breasts are much smaller than mine to begin with so I feel like it’s a shot in the dark.

The procedure is $7,000, Midwest US. Where are you located? You can add photos on your profile or do an “ask a dr” for their opinions as well. I’ve found all their feedback helpful in size/lift, etc.

I'm in the Midwest. Your breast turned out excellent BTW. Is your Dr in Indiana? If so, may I get their name?

Thank you! One side is riding high but I’m trying to stay calm and wait for it to settle down into the pocket. I have a slight waterfall effect on that side at the moment. I’m not in Indiana though!

Asking for smallest first

Emlaben54
I am honestly nervous about winding up with huge bulging breasts. I’m going to ask my surgeon to start with the smallest/most conservative, and only go up if it’s not filling my breast envelope enough. Sometimes I feel like maybe I should have just done the lift and gone with a reduction and a small implant, but I really wanted to see if I’d get decent results with just an implant and avoid all the nipple scars.
Maybe in a few years especially if they are to heavy and dropping like crazy I’ll go back for a revision and do the whole shebang then. But for now, we will see!

I'm in my 3rd augmentation over 20 years and in all the people Iv ever spoke to on their journey I never met anyone who thought they went bigger . Always wished they went bigger and most do go back again .
June 9, 2022
Very true, thanks for the tip! That said, I have been a D cup since I was 16. I feel 95% of aug patients are genuinely smaller chested, looking to gain a bigger chest. That’s not the case for me- what I really NEED is a lift to remove loose skin as I’m so deflated after pregnancies. But the scarring makes me too nervous, to my PS suggested we can try to fill back in what I already have without going bigger per se.

He posited like a gallon capacity ziplock bag. Before I had kids I had a gallon size bag, lost volume with pregnancies, and now even though I have the same size bag, I only have maybe 1/3 of the “filling” in the bag if you can picture it. What happens to the filling, it all drops to a corner. What we are trying to do is fill my original breast envelope back up, I’m hoping it only takes 350cc but willing to go larger if necessary.

Bigger is not one of my goals. Heck, if I wind up going for a lift in a while, I’d love a small perky boob. Going braless is something I’ve always wished I could do but with big boobs never had the luxury lol.

What size are you? Do you tend to go bigger every time?

Hi, I got my original implants at 19. I am now 46 and I just got a lift and new implants because one had deflated.
I did not find it made sense for me to keep my sagging beast. I am soo happy with the results and if you are a good healer the scars will not be bad.

T minus 10 days to go

Can’t stop wearing my rice sizers around the house. I really prefer the feel/weight of the 350cc, they feel so much lighter to me than the 400 or 440. But I’m feeling like my PS will likely have to go bigger to fill me up.

It’s so hard to find before and after photos of patients who look like me before!

I had already read many comments and reports here that many wished they had taken larger implants.
Your breasts look empty, I would take the 450 cc right away, if not more.
your nipples look good, will they be spared during surgery?

June 15, 2022
Hi again! Yes it was important to me to leave the nipples alone, my main reason for (temporarily) rejecting the idea of a lift. I’m trying to refill with implants first. So anxious, as I’ve seen some great results but I’ve also seen some really bad ones where the breast becomes much larger and thus even droopier than before.

I’ve been trying to add more photos but it keeps saying my files are too large even though they’re under the limit for size. Idk!

It would be nice to see how the initial position was, with the additional pictures before the operation, some women could see what to expect.
Since there is unfortunately only one picture of your breasts, it is difficult to assess whether one is similar.
It would be really great if you could give us more insights.
Thank you for sharing with us.
