450 Cc SSF (High Profile Soft Touch Cohesive Silicone)
WORTH IT$7,925
I went for 3 consultations and Dr. Reedy was my 3rd one. While it was an hour drive away, everyone in the office was very professional and friendly. Dr. Reedy asked what I was looking for and made some recommendations on sizing and profile. I tried some sizers on with one of the nurses and actually realized that I wanted to be bigger than what I had initially communicated to the doctor. He was very confident (but not overly so) and I felt that I could trust him with this important surgery. I took a couple of days to think about it and then called back to schedule the procedure.
I am getting 450 cc HP (SSF) under the muscle, round smooth silicone implants and can't wait to be confident without a padded bra on every day!

1 week to go!
I can’t believe I’m only a week out from my surgery. I still have some more prepping to do but I’ve already gotten the following:
- all prescriptions filled
- bendy straws
- antibacterial soap for presurgery showers
- laxatives
- extra strength Tylenol
- wedge pillow
- button front pajamas
- a couple of short sleeve zip up hoodies
- a tank with a built in shelf bra to wear while my post op bra is in the wash ( have to wear the post op bra for 3 weeks!)
and I started on VitaMedica’s Recovery support supplements
Next up is making sure I have enough easy to make foods in the house!

Why I am getting breast augmentation & Implant Sizing Decision
Current stats: 40 years old, 5'7", 135-138 lb, BWD: ~12.5 cm, Rib cage: 31", 34 small B/large A
Chosen Implants: Allergan Soft Touch 450 cc High Profile, Round Smooth Silicone (SSF)
I have always thought that my breasts were on the smaller side and in my 30's I had gained about 20 lb that I was not happy about. However, with this weight gain, my bra size went up to a 34/36C and I was also constantly wearing a VS Bombshell bra, which supposedly added 2 cup sizes so I got used to my breasts looking a lot larger in clothing. When I lost 20 pounds in the first half of 2020, I lost what little additional size I had in my breasts and yet continued wearing the 36C Bombshell bra (on the tightest hook and no longer filling out the cup).
I want to feel comfortable in a bathing suit and continue to look the same size in clothes but without having to wear the heavily padded bra. When I started telling some friends that I was getting a boob job, a lot of them said "but your boobs are so big already!". Apparently, the bombshell bra has been fooling people for years. :-) Even my husband didn't think I needed anything done but primarily from the perspective of he is not a "boob man"...my response was that this is for me and that I want to feel confident in a bathing suit and stop hiding behind the padded bras.
When I had my consultation with Dr. Reedy, I told him that I wanted to be a large C, small D based on what I THOUGHT those sizes looked like so we started with a 330 cc moderate profile (Natrelle Inspira Responsive) and quickly jumped over to high profile to gain volume due to my BWD of 12.5. When I left my consultation, I thought I was settled on a 415 cc high profile.
At my pre-op, my husband joined me (slightly against his will!) and I showed him the 415's. I also showed the staff a picture of me wearing a tight tank and the bombshell bra (see original post) and said that was my size goal. Everyone thought that the 415s looked slightly smaller than the "wish pic" and we went up to the next size (450 cc high profile). My husband's response was like woah, that's too big but once I threw a t-shirt over top, he agreed that it didn't look too crazy. While the 450s are probably a bit bigger than the bombshell bra, Dr. Reedy said I'd lose about 10% under the muscle and that the implant should fit perfectly, giving me nice cleavage since it is slightly bigger than my BWD at 12.75cm.
The last decision on the cohesiveness required a little more thought. The doctor's recommendation was for the responsive (the least cohesive) but he said that if I was willing to spend a little more that I could "upgrade" to the soft touch, which is actually more cohesive and holds it upper pole fullness more than the responsive. It is also supposed to be better for rippling. Since I got a discount for paying in cash and decided not to get the Exparel local pain injection, I decided to use that money to upgrade to the soft touch...I plan on keeping these implants as long as I can so why not get the latest technology!
