As I’m writing this, I am 20 days post op from my Breast Augmentation. I am 200lbs, 5’4 tall, original bra size around a large 36B/small C. My implants are silicone 445cc which were placed under the muscle. I initially had a consult with another surgeon who recommended I get 315-375cc silicone implants placed over the muscle. I had tried on sizers as well which made me think 315cc was enough to balance my frame out.
My CG cosmetic experience:
I was an out of town patient so I arrived in Miami the day before my Preop appointment. Preop day arrives and i arrive in a crowded waiting room. It felt like an assembly line of women going and returning. I waited longer than I expected. I was told to arrive at noon and didn’t leave until about 3pm. I didn’t get to see the surgeon or talk to him yet and my surgery was scheduled for the next day.
Surgeon experience:
About 20 mins before the surgery I finally got to meet the Dr and the anesthesiologist. I first spoke with the anesthesiologist and he asked me about any medicine I had been taking prior and any medical history. Next, I met Dr.Hunsaker. I was told to have some pictures to show the Dr ok how I would like my breasts to look. I only had time to show him 2 max. Then after marking me up her recommended I get 445cc on both sides which sounded huge to me. I thought I would definitely be somewhere in the 300s. Everything else after that moved pretty quickly. Now I’m almost 3 weeks post and I think they look great so far. I’m mostly keeping an eye on my incisions and researching massages.
CG cosmetics exp cont:
The thing about CG which doesn’t seem to be the surgeons fault is the volume of patients they receive so they aren’t too much involved after the 1st post op appointment so I’ve been doing a lot of research on what I should be doing after the fact now. I don’t remember receiving a post op instruction sheet that goes in depth on care after the first few days after surgery, but you get what you pay for. They do seem to be available if I have any questions but my time with the Dr was very very brief.
All in all, so far I am satisfied with Dr. Hunsaker’s work. My mother in law who is a surgical nurse looked at my breasts when I was 5 days post op and helped me take off my tapes and she said my incisions and the breasts overall look to be healing very nicely.
My motivation:
I always (in the back of my mind) was self conscious about my breasts. They just didn't seem to fill out to match my figure. I wasn't going to get the implants but an encounter with someone made me research breast fat transfers and implants again after like 15 years since my last serious consult. So far I don't regret my decision. I somehow regret waiting so long now being in my mid 30s.

4 weeks post op - so far so good!
Philosophical191250January 15, 2024
I’m 4 weeks post op and I haven’t been experiencing much pain. I get some pings of pain every now and then around my incision area. Ive been able to wear regular sports bras now instead of the front close style. I’ve been keeping my incisions covered with gauze and tape to prevent the sports bra band from rubbing up against that area.
I haven’t started working out yet but I’ve been able to lift slightly heavier bags like groceries. I’ve still been sleeping with extra pillows instead of laying down flat. I found some massages I could do on YouTube but I haven’t been consistent on massaging (probably like 4-5 days out of the week).
I bought a breast band to wear but I wasn’t told why it’s helpful or anything so I haven’t been consistent at all wearing it. It does seem like my boobs have dropped some though. I had a bruise on my right breast that is just about gone now.
No one has really been able to tell I got work done with my clothes on and since it’s winter so that part has been easy. Can’t wait to see my progress in 4 more weeks!

I have been able to sleep on my side since my last update and could maybe sleep on my stomach with some support from my arms/hands. My left breast seems to have dropped more than my right (more dominant) side. You can see from photos how my right side (side holding phone) still kind of points down. I still like them but sometime I wonder if I should have gone bigger. My clothes definitely fit better and my body feels more in proportion.

Looking good thus far. You probably have more dropping and fluffing to do. I saw lots of changes for my first year. I had a BL/BA. Happy continued healing.

That’s awesome you’re able to sleep on your side. I can’t wait for that, haha!! Sleeping on my back has really been way more difficult than I thought it would be. You’re looking great so far!
