Year later!
It has been a year since my surgery. I am still so happy. They definitely dropped into the pocket. I do miss them sitting a bit higher but thankful they can look natural. I will say it’s difficult to find clothing being a small in the waist now and XL chest, but I would still do 425 cc’s! The scars were gone within 6 months post surgery. Dr Green did a fantastic job with the incisions being just so seamless!
I picked the best surgeon!
I wanted a breast augmentation for a long time. I was a late bloomer. So I went from having no boobs, to a natural full C, to
now, no idea what size I am currently.
I consulted with four different surgeons. One down south, LA area, who I had followed for some years. He suggested staging, a breast reduction then putting an implant in 6 months later. We only did a video consult so being in person, he may had suggested something different. We talked about an in person consult, he said that although he’d love for me to fly in, his best friend, who went to same school, residency, etc., is a surgeon in Sacramento and I would love his work as well. I live in Sacramento so makes recovery that much easier. The Dr turned out to be Dr Green.
My cousin who is a nurse, she originally had a BA from a doctor in Modesto, hated her results, she had a BA revision with a tummy tuck and guess who her new doctor was ?! Yes, Dr Green. I told her I was having a hard time choosing a surgeon, she assured me that if I went with Dr Green, I wouldn’t be disappointed. I’m so happy I had a cross reference.
There was one other Dr within the area, who’s work I loved! That Dr suggested I went with a mini lift, silicone, under the muscle, and about 360 cc’s.
My initial consult with Dr Greens office was with Stacey, she’s Heaven sent! She such an angel and so patient. I kept coming back with a million questions. She said you know, let’s have you meet Dr Green and see if that is helpful. Met Dr Green, he suggested just doing a BA with no lift, using silicone, going over the muscle, doing so would give me a tiny lift, while hiding the implant bc I have quite a bit of breast tissue. I’m so incredibly thankful he suggested doing less than more. I should’ve just said yes, right then and there, but I went home, thought about it, prayed about it.
I really wanted MY boobs ( great boobs, haha, in my opinion ) but a fuller and rounder version. During the discussion with Dr Green, I mentioned wanting an augment that was not only fuller and rounder but more projecting; he said I wouldn’t be able to have both. He scaled down my expectations. I’m very thankful about. The other Dr never mentioned that to me. Dr Green also said that if I were to do the mini lift it actually may flatten out my nipple / boob which is the opposite of what I wanted.
What it truly came down to, I felt really good every time I left Dr. Green‘s office. The girls in the front, to Stacey to Dr. Green himself. They answered the million questions I had. He scaled down my expectations, while being incredibly honest and kind. They really made the experience.
My consult was in February ( best Valentine’s Day gift ), my surgery in May, May 6 th, the day after my birthday. Surgery day came, I felt great about it. I over communicated with my anesthesiologist bc I occasionally have had terrible reactions to anesthesia (throwing up almost, panic attacks) but he was amazing! Saw Dr Green right before surgery when he marked me up. The only thing I would change is when I spoke to Stacey during sizing, she said you’ll have one last little conversation with Dr Green before you go into your surgery and you can discuss final sizing there. I would say go into that day, being 95% sure what size you want and don’t depend on a last minute conversation bc It felt rushed, no real change for a sizing discussion. I settled on 425 cc’s but told him if he felt like he should go bigger or smaller to achieve the look we discussed, he had full range. Came out of surgery beautifully. There was a point where I started to have some pain and the nurse immediately addressed that. I momentarily forget my boyfriend’s name when coming out of the anesthesia, that’s was a good laugh. I wish I could remember the nurse’s name because she was such a doll and we were literally laughing post surgery.
I had some concerns the following day. My boyfriend called, got ahold of the Dr right away, everything was easy. I did have some major rubbing of my bra on my incisions that was bothering me. So painful. Dr Green suggested cut pads and put them on the inside of the bra and that way they’ll stick. OMG! The best idea! I was comfortable then.
I’m 8 weeks post surgery. They look so natural. They feel natural. They’re settling. My only regret is not doing it sooner! 425 cc’s, high profile, was the perfect size, any bigger and I feel like I would’ve had stretch marks. Prior I always wore a push-up bra, from Victoria Secret, added 2 sizes. I wanted them to look just like that, they do, and I could not be happier. I did have some pain, more than people had mentioned to me, I attribute that to it being such a large implant for me being smaller.
