My Boobs Look Incredible -- Thank You Dr. Liliav!
WORTH IT
(Long review because it's well-deserved) Dr. Liliav truly put me at ease with his knowledge, background, confident but kind demeanor, and willingness to answer ALL of my questions without flinching or sugarcoating anything. When I say he answered ALL my questions, I mean I may or may not have interrogated him with the long list of questions I had ready for him and he took it like a champ lol. I do NOT like to beat around the bush, and he's a New Yorker so I loved how straight-forward he was with all his answers. And while he was very straight-forward, he still treated me with kindness. As a person who has worked in the medical field with a lot of doctors, surgeons, NPs & PAs, I've seen my fair share of awful bedside manner, and providers who obviously can't wait to get away from their own patients. So I always pay close attention to how any of MY medical providers treat me. I can't say this enough -- Dr. Liliav was wonderful, and I would very very happily send family and friends to be treated by him. I research Everything to death, so of course I looked up the man who was going to have his hands in my body! You can look him up too -- he's also smart as whip, graduated at the top of his class, was chief surgeon (plastics and general!) and has done literally thousands and thousands of breast procedures. He's also worked extensively with breast cancer patients, so he is incredibly well-rounded when it comes to all things "boobs." I wanted someone who can walk the walk, not only talk, and that's what I found in Dr. Liliav.
His PA/Surgical assistant Alejandra was also great and super sweet. My coordinator Andrys went above and beyond to accommodate me whenever possible too! My experience with all Xiluet staff was a very positive one. After I saw Dr. Liliav for my pre-op appointment (and asked him my laundry list of questions), I was so relieved (and excited for surgery) that I was almost in tears. I felt confident going into this, but meeting with him Truly put me at ease. He is infinitely knowledgeable about his craft, he gave me verifiable facts and statistics and actually listened to my wants! He throughly explained why under the fascia would be best for me, as opposed to under the muscle, and that he would keep in mind my wants, and make a final determination on size when I was on the table with the sizers in -- and all it made complete sense.
The icing on the cake was my recovery. Wow. I was thoroughly expecting to be in significant pain, and instead, I only needed to take 2 pain pills the day of surgery. My surgery was first thing in the morning, and even so, that same evening I was able to shower on my own, dress myself, and go out to dinner! As a former athlete, I rate pain differently than soreness, and I can honestly say I was never in any PAIN. I had lots of soreness and tenderness, which was easily managed with extra-strength Tylenol. I felt well enough that I literally had to remind myself that I wasn't supposed to lift/do certain movements.
As for my actual boobs? Omg. I am ECSTATIC. While I've always felt beautiful before, I was very flat-chested (34/36 A) and always had to wear heavily padded bras to have the appearance of a chest. I've always wanted a more feminine look (even when naked), perky cleavage, and the ability to have a more curvy figure when wearing sexy blouses/dresses that have cutouts -- BUT I didn't want to look like Dolly P, or have anything that didn't fit my frame. And ladiesss Dr. Benjamin Liliav delivered in SPADES!! I'm 6'0, 165 lbs, athletic build, with very, very long legs. I thought I was confident and turned heads before...NOW?! Omg Dr. Liliav has made me feel like an absolute knockout with these new boobs. He placed 415 high-profile silicone gel implants and I'm now a 34/36 C. I finally have curves up top and I don't look too busty at all -- they are perfect! I was so happy that I literally hugged him at my post-op visit lol.
I'm currently at 5 weeks and my breasts are settling quite nicely and softening up. No change in nipple sensitivity. Some numbness in the upper poles of my boobs, but that's where I literally had NO boob, so I'm not surprised. Even so, more sensation seems to return each week. My scars (inframammary/under the boob) are really looking good; the left is almost completely invisible, which is shocking because I am prone to hyperpigmentation. I will update this review with pictures when everything is completely settled.
I couldn't be happier with my breast augmentation and I would highly recommend Dr. Liliav to anyone who's interested in the same. I can't thank him enough -- this has been life-changing for me.
As a side note, if you're going to Xiluet for your procedure, it is important to exercise patience and be diligent with Your responsibilities through the process. It's your body, so follow up and pay attention to instructions! The office staff there do work with with several different surgeons, patients have procedures every weekday, and the surgeons usually see patients in between their procedures. You have to be mindful that every human body is different, so surgeries don't always run on time. You may have to be patient when you are waiting to see a surgeon. I didn't have long wait times, so I was very grateful for that! My research showed me that Dr. Liliav does work at a NY practice as well, so you can see him there as well.
