I am 4’11, 122.8 pounds at time of surgery’. Right free surgery I weight at 128 which I account a lot for fluids they gave me during stay. By next day I weighed 126.6 which was more realistic
Day of surgery:
I went in at 7:00 and got prepped and surgery was round 9:30. Next thing I remember I was on my way home and my chest and arms ft extremely tight. When I got home I slept on and off all day it the tightness improved as they went on. I took pain medicine 2 times, my antibiotic and 1 nausea pill as did throw up once. Overall my end of day anesthesia wore off and I was able to walk around the house with little discomfort. I’m also very happy with my results so far and can’t wait to see swelling go down and final result!

How is your recovery going !? I hope well!

Kelbel Thank you for asking! Some days are better than others. I am not used to being so restricted and my life is very fast paced so this recovery has been particularly hard for me. The first few days were very hard for me emotionally I guess because I don’t think I truly realized how hard the recovery would be and how big a change this truly was. I’m on day 9 today. My chest still feels pretty heavy and I still have quite a bit of swelling so I’m hoping that starts to go down soon because I get tired easily at the moment. Overall, I think each days gets a little easier.

I felt the exact same way. I am always on the go and was not used to being restricted. Every day gets a little better and some days are better than others that first month or two. Before you know it though- you will be back to normal!!

Day 3 post surgery

x_arredondo
Day 3 post surgery I am feeling much better and from reading my previous reviews I can tell there was still some anesthesia in my system from all the typos in my review! My biggest discomfort at the moment has been the sutures and still have a little while to go for removal but overall it’s not bad, just uncomfortable. The Dr. recommended using gauze in between or ice packs which have helped. I have not taken pain meds since yesterday and have almost full range of motion in my arms. I was able to go to school Day 2 and 3 but only for a short period and I had someone drive me. Some of my swelling has gone down and they are starting to drop. I am happier each day with my results!

I would love to see some updated photos?! Your still really early on so just take it easy. Listen to your body. D&f can take quite a bit...3, 6 sometimes even up to 12 months. Everyone is different so patience is the key but the fluff is so worth the wait. Happy healing my friend. Thanks for sharing your journey. ❤️

2 weeks, 2 days

x_arredondo
Hi guys! Thank you for all the positive and uplifting comments and I’m sorry it’s taken so long to update. I had a rough 2 weeks for multiple reasons. I believe I pulled a muscle which has since healed. I used ice and my muscle relaxants. This was probably due to me possibly over doing it. I also couldn’t sleep because I couldn’t get comfortable so I took melatonin gummies for a few days. At my 2 week post op my doctor took the 1 stitch out I had and instructed me to wear a band to help them drop because they were still a little high. He also gave me the okay to start massaging. As of today I feel pretty good. I still had odd sensations from time to time which he explained is part of the normal healing process and they are also very dry so I’ve been moisturizing a couple of times per day. My body seems to be adjusting to the weight so I haven’t really experienced any back pain. I was also given the okay to eat my own sports bra! I have added some update pictures up until today. They have dropped and swelling has gone down quite a bit but I still have a lot to go.
