2yrs post op...Still no regrets

As above. I will probably always add a little pillow on my tummy for massages and sunbathing, just to take a bit of squish off, and I will never do chin ups again, but that's fine. I still don't know what size I am, probably 34 C or D. Do it :)

You mentioned that you don’t do chin ups, how about push ups? I found push ups and planks were great for toning the whole upper body, but scared they will cause the implants to shift outwards. Thank you for keeping up your posts 2 years post op. I’m 2 weeks post op so it’s great to get tips and advice from someone who’s been through it. You look great!!!

I CAN do push ups, but it feels a bit weird, not sore, just a slightly un-natural pressure, which makes sense as my chest muscles are now unnaturally placed...I will do like, 10, sometimes, but rather leave it. Plank is no issue at all, going from elbows to hands and back is no problem.

Thanks so much for your response. Glad to know planks are still a go! Rather do them than push ups anyway.

I’m an aerialist and got 300cc under muscle. Push ups, pull ups snd all chest related exercises have been fine you get used to the slightly odd feeling and can get stronger than ever so don’t worry about them limiting you.

Mammogram with implants!

User Avatar

I still have no regrets - not much change in shape now really. I did a 20km walk with a 20kg rucksack last week. Implants don't effect physical ability other than I don't do press ups and more, or those rolly wheel things that do your abs, basically anything that is focused on your pecs. It doesn't hurt per say, it just doesn't feel quite right.
Anyway - I went for my 1st ever mammogram yesterday! after cervical cancer issues last year (get your smears done ladies!) I thought that I should probably do a mammogram too, as I am almost 42 now. I went to them last year, when boobs were 5mnths old, and they would do it due to implants. I went back at 15mnths post op, and they said between 6-12mnths if fine. I was nervous as I have heard they hurt normal boobs - but it was fine. They kinda squished what breast tissue I did have in an up/down clamp (I had horror visions of them squashing implants down hard!) Say xrays - there really was hardly ANY breast tissue, but they saw enough, and said all was well. She even asked who did my boobs as they were so good! So - don't be scared of mammograms. DO NOT GOOGLE MAMMOGRAMS WITH BREAST IMPLANTS! It will scare the poop out of you - it wasn't even uncomfortable, let alone painful or frightening :-)

Thanks for sharing your journey and informative experience! I’m 13 days post op and think we have a VERY similar anatomy (I got 365cc HP) so it’s been refreshing to see how good your results turned out. I went into it knowing I wouldn’t have cleavage (sad face) but big boobs are still better than no boobs!

I had to have a ultrasound done on mine. Not hardly enough tissue.

Still no regrets. Still don't really know what size I am. Let's say 34C.
Negatives: If OH launches on my for a bear hug n the bed I need to readjust him!
Still have a cushion on tummy for massages and sun bathing.
That's it....!
All else positive.
I'm still very glad I didn't go any bigger.
I still sleep in a solid bra when I'm alone in bed, but personal choice only.
Do it :)

Sorry, just saw this...I was 335 and 365 I think, to fix difference. I really glad I didn't go bigger, I'm not a booby showoffy type, this size hardly changed any of my clothes, bar bras, I don't feel self conscious and it hasn't changed what I can do (bar chin ups, but I could only do 3 anyway, so.....!)

I stopped wearing a bra at night after a week or so.... no need for night time bra....
