It is hard to believe that is has been 6 months since my surgery. I feel like it’s been forever. My breasts feel like a part of me and I don’t really remember my previous breasts. So strange.
Overall I’m very happy and satisfied. A few tidbits: I still don’t have a lot of feeling and my nipples and areolas are completely numb. This is rather disappointing as I’m not sure I’ll get any feeling back in these areas. I do experience twinges and zings but nothing substantial.
Also the top of my left breast itches quite a bit. Not all the time and not everyday but sometimes and it’s strange.
I think they’ve completely settled and dropped. I definitely don’t want them to drop anymore and I’m hoping my skin doesn’t stretch and drop them. After 5 pregnancies and 7.5 years of breastfeeding my breasts don’t have the same elasticity as a young woman.
They are soft and squishy so that is nice. Some clothes make them look quite large but when I’m naked it looks very proportional. The incisions are healing very nicely.
I added some new photos. I’ve been lifting weights for about 3 months so I feel bulkier and less lean than when I was running more miles each week. I’m stronger though so is good. I’ve been consistently exercising 5-6 days a week since about 5 wks post-op.
I have my 6 month post-op appt next week and don’t expect any unexpected news so all is well!

I’ve been following your journey since I’m in a similar boat. Breastfed my 4 kids for a year each and now excited to have nice boobs again! My surgery is the end of next month, planning silicone 450cc over the muscle (my Dr doesn’t recommend under because of loss of that muscle function). Are you happy with your size? I’m afraid I’ll wish I went bigger but I’m only 115lbs at 5’4”. I think you look awesome btw!!!

Ohhh, so exciting for you! I definitely do not regret my decision to have implants. I have broad shoulders and a bigger frame size (big boned? Lol) so I think I'm proportionate with the 485cc HP but mine are under the muscle so I think 450cc over the muscle will appear larger than 450cc under the muscle. I was afraid that going smaller wouldn't fill out my empty skin and make them look saggy. I was trying to avoid a lift. I don't think I could have gone too much smaller....maybe 460cc, but that's just a few teaspoons difference, kwim?

I tried on the sizers and made my own rice sizers at home. I put them in my bra and walked around to try them out, haha. I was comfortable with 450cc and discussed it with my surgeon. Since we were going under the muscle he sized up to 485cc.

I like them, though I wouldn't mind them a bit smaller....but like I said I don't think that was possible with my skin and saggy boobs before. I don't have any boob envy of others, lol.

Thank you for the compliment!!!! :-) I think you'll love your decision. Oh, I'm not sure what loss of muscle function would be? I am lifting weights now and didn't even know I had pec muscles under I started lifting and could feel the muscle soreness afterwards, haha!

Thank you for continuing to share your journey! I feel like we had similar starting points. I think you look SO good! I’m only 8 days post op and I’m getting impatient with the D&F stage haha

Happy healing to you! I peeked at your profile! You are looking awesome already! I feel like it was a good 5-6 wks before I could really visualize what they would look like when they dropped. Feels so good to do something for yourself!

Time sure flies! I had my 3 month post-op appt today. All is well! I don’t have a lot of updates. I am still numb throughout my breasts. No feeling at all. My surgeon said it can take up to a year for feeling to return so fingers crossed that I’m not the 5% of people that never regains feeling.

My breasts occasionally feel super cold when you touch them. I’m thinking the implants, but it doesn’t happen all the time.

I’m not sleeping on my tummy at all. I tried but it was uncomfortable. I’m thinking I’ll probably never be a tummy sleeper again. I guess that’s a good thing. Sigh.

I’m still running 3-4 times a week and now introducing more body weight training for a total of 5 days a week of regular exercise, sometimes 6. I eat fairly healthy with lots of vegetables and lean proteins but could reduce my sugar intake and I think I would see better results.

Some clothes look terrible on me now. Some look great! I’m changing my wardrobe slowly and am sad that some of my fave pieces won’t work any more. But I’m really happy with my decision. My biggest concern is that they will drop more or become saggy. I’m hoping they hold their shape and spot on my chest!

I will have to take some pictures of me in actual clothes, haha. I realize I always post the naked shots. I think that’s all. Thanks for reading!

I can confidently say that I love my boobs! They have dropped perfectly, they are perky, they squish nicely yet are not too squishy. I don’t think they are too big anymore. They fit me nicely.
We were recently on vacation and I posted photos on Facebook and I had a couple people send me messages about my new cleavage. I haven’t told anyone about my surgery so it is obvious when people see me in a bikini but I’m ok with that as long as they aren’t judgy (though a “friend” of mine was quite judgmental and mean in a message :-(. ). However I also received a lot of compliments in Mexico. A bartender said “Senorita, how many of those children are yours?” I say “cinco.” He says “wow, you are so young. I would have never guessed. You are so beautiful, I just didn’t want to say so in front of your husband and offend him.” Best. Trip. Ever. Haha!
Anyways, I still don’t have any feeling in my breasts. I can’t feel my nipples at all. I’m hoping it comes back eventually.
I still haven’t found a sports bra that I love, but the Shock Absorber does well enough. I’m up to running 5-6 miles again and they aren’t sore at the end of the run. No pain or discomfort ever.
I bought a plain VS bra in 32DDD and it’s comfy for an everyday bra. I still sleep in a cotton Hanes bra because it feels more secure. Though I’m still not sleeping on my tummy and am not sure I’ll ever do that again as I’m afraid of displacement.
I want to find more bikini tops. Any suggestions for good, supportive tops that won’t break the bank are welcome! It’s tricky with bottoms because I want to cover my tummy tuck incision.
I think that’s all. Very happy and satisfied!!!

Pics look great! Great bikini body! That’s one thing I am not looking forward to, all the questions and judgement! That’s disappointing about your judgey/mean friend! :-( Anyway, you look great!!! Thanks for sharing your continued progress!

Thank you, love! I don't mind the questions or inquiries all that much. But after my TT I did have some negative feedback and it was hurtful...not about how I looked, but why I did it. Actually, the friend that sent me a message while I was ON vacation to comment about my boobs (I hadn't told her) was one of the people that was the most awful after my TT and I thought we were past that, but apparently she wasn't. Sigh. Anyways, I don't understand at all why my personal body decisions have any effect on someone else. People are strange.

Thanks for looking, too!! :-)

Where did you get your cotton Hanes bras?

From Target. They come 2 in a pack. I still wear them every night to bed. They are very comfortable and make me feel “firmer” when I sleep.

Thank you so much! I am having a BA in January with Dr. Gervais and your journey is so encouraging! I have also breastfed 4 babies and I am left with deflated Cs. I am also opting out of a lift and hoping Dr. G can work his magic and get me the natural full look I am hoping for without a lift! I am taking lots of notes from your posts!

Oh awesome! Trust him. He will be honest with his expectations of outcomes. Only great things to say about him and the staff there. They are wonderful!

Ask anymore questions! They do provide you with the scar gel there, it's included with the surgery price.
