11 DAYS UNTIL SURGERY!!
After years and years of thinking about breast enhancement, I am finally going through with it. I am traveling for my procedure!! Michigan to Los Angeles, CA! I found Dr. Kim on YouTube 5 years ago and I knew he was the Surgeon I would go to when I was ready. I am an A/small B cup - I did put on some weight 2020 so my breast are bigger than they are when I am in better shape (which still isn't big at all) ha! I will have my consult the same day I fly into LA to minimize total days spent there. Fly in and Consult Weds, Surgery Thursday, Follow-Up Friday, R&R Sat & Sun, 2nd Follow-Up and flight home Mon. So 6 days in total and the Dr suggested 5 or 6 days minimum for an augmentation. My sister is coming with me to help with aftercare and to support me.

Welp....I was supposed to be having surgery 4/22/21. I completed all the necessary blood work and testing here in my home state prior to flying out which included a mammogram yesterday. The VA called today (I'm an Army Vet) and the mammogram/ultrasound came back with a suspicious mass on the left breast so they have ordered a biopsy. I am still in a bit of shock but trying to stay positive. My biopsy is the day before we were supposed to fly and the results take 5-7 business days. So many working parts have went into this because I am going out of state, have a family member accompanying me, the dog sitters, flights, hotel, rental car, and all the lab work/covid testing. Phewww it's been a day! I have every confidence I will be just fine and will take the appropriate precautions. I contacted Dr. Kim's office and they were very understanding and said they would be accommodating given the situation. The plan moving forward is to have surgery in another 6 weeks. I can get the testing and be sure I am 100% healthy going into surgery. I took the rest of the day to contact the Dr's office, airline, hotel, and car rental to do a little tweaking. It was no problem to adjust the dates and I am thankful for that! I have another 33 days to lose a bit more of this "Quarantine 15". This is the 2nd time I have had to reschedule, 1st covid, now a biopsy. I am determined to get a happy ending to this review ;) so until the next update, wish me luck!

Wow you may not have ever even discovered the mass if you were not about to have the surgery so that’s might have turned out to be a blessing in disguise . I wish you the best of luck as well and look forward to hearing your updates :)

Thank goodness they caught this now right before your surgery and not during or after! Please let us know what they determine. When is your biopsy scheduled for?

I had the biopsy procedure today, 4-20-21. My results will be back in 3-5 days. They took 4 different samples and placed a titanium marker in the mass for future identification or removal. It was a virtually painless procedure and my nerves were much worse than anything else! Thank you for the good vibes and prayers. I will post an update when the results come in. Fingers crossed!!!
