Biopsy was benign!

Hallelujah! I am grateful to be sharing the results of my biopsy were not cancerous! I waited 7 days to get the results and it was a looong week. The tumor came back as, Pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia (PASH) and it is a rare, benign (noncancerous) breast lesion. It can present as a dense mass which can only sometimes be felt when palpating the breast. That mass is caused by an overgrowth of myofibroblastic cells. It won't interfere with my upcoming surgery and my breast Dr said that the biopsy site needs 30 days to heal. I rescheduled my surgery for 6 weeks after the biopsy, so things are working out. I'm excited to update with my new boobs! Surgery Date 5-20-21!!

If anyone is interested this is 24hrs after the biopsy, I am a bit sore but feeling good ...I'm ready to get the all clear and get my new boobs! Keeping it positive and trusting I am just fine! Waiting is the hardest part! My sister and I should've been on a plane and getting my initial consult with Dr Kim today.

Biopsy Day
I had the biopsy procedure today, 4-20-21. My results will be back in 3-5 days. They took 4 different samples and placed a titanium marker in the mass for future identification or removal. It was a virtually painless procedure and my nerves were much worse than anything else! Thank you for the good vibes and prayers. I will post an update when the results come in. Fingers crossed!!!

Yes, I will update this week and add photos. I'm a year post op in May and have healed very well! I've been documenting this entire year to show the progression but I think 11 months is enough time.
