Synmastia Repair Update

Today I sent photos to Dr. Revis. He confirmed that I do indeed have symmastia and that my left breast is in fact bottoming out. As much as it sucks to hear it, at least now I know my concerns really were valid :( He also acknowledged that a piece of my skin does pop out on top of my left breast. It’s also due to overdissecting my pockets. What’s done is done, doctors are humans too. I can only imagine all the skills that goes into performing this kind of surgery. All I can do now is find a way to fix it even though it’s going to basically cost triple the initial surgery :(

The cost for a repair is quite expensive too. On top of that I’ll also have to pay for travel cost. But this kind of surgery I only want to see a doctor who specializes in repairing symmastia. Anyone who’s experienced it knows just how important it is to find a surgeon who does this kind of surgery regularly.

I’m so glad Dr. Revis is taking me on as a patient. I’ll stop updating this review and start a new one for Dr. Revis. He has been so responsive and informative in all of our correspondence.

I’ve uploaded a photo to show my symmastia. Thank you all for following me on my journey.

Hi! Did you get the revision surgery with Dr. Revis? How did it go?

Hi! Not yet :( it’s going to take me some time to save up.. How are you doing?! Have you looked into options as well?

Have you done the revision yet? I know it cost so much for revision in Canada and US. If you haven’t done yet, take a look on surgeons in Asia like Vietnam or Thailand. The cost is cheaper (should be half price) and the doctors are very skilled too

Not yet.. this is very helpful! I’ll look up surgeons there. Such a good suggestion, I appreciate it.

Inquired About Symmastia/Synmastia Repair

User Avatar
alwaysbeenpetite
It’s been awhile since I’ve updated. The more they healed the more I disliked how they looked :( After each update on realself, it was always a negative experience for me as I had to look at them.
The more they softened up, the more obvious the rippling became. I can’t wear my proper bra size because the skin in the middle rises making them merge together leaving me with no cleavage :( Or when I do wear a push up bra not only does the skin rises but my cleavage looks like two puzzle pieces pushed together because there is so much rippling. The only way to avoid the skin rising is if I wear a bigger cup so my breast aren’t pushed together. Even when I wear a bralette, the symmastia is obvious.
I’ve decided I’m going to save up for symmastia repair. I’ve researched quite a bit and decided with Dr. Revis who’s located in Florida. Unfortunately, I couldn’t seem to find any well known surgeons who specialized in symmastia repairs in Canada. I really do feel travelling for this kind of surgery is well worth it.
So far, my experience with Dr. Revis is a positive one! I emailed him this morning and he responded within the hour. I’ll keep you all posted!
In the mean time, here are some wish/goal photos I found as Dr. Revis asked if I had any. Which is nice because my last surgeon did not ask, nor did he really measure my bwd until his assistant asked him too. I honestly feel like I’m less than 11cm. But we’ll see what Dr. Revis recommends and measures!

5 months post

5 Months!

Tomorrow will officially be 5 months.
I had a check up appointment with my PS last month and asked if my left was starting to bottom out. As my nipple is sitting quite high on the implant. I was already aware that my left breast was always slightly lower than my right but I’m not sure if that’s where my nipple was always sitting. Before I could finish speaking, he interrupted me and told me that my left was always lower and that’s exactly where he cut my pocket. Because he cut me off, I didn’t get to ask if my right needed to drop more or explain that my nipple is sitting quite high. I will eventually get a 2nd opinion or if you guys would like to give me feedback too, I’d appreciate it :) I know it’s somewhat hard with emojis covering but you can see that my left nipple is sitting quite close to my armpit?
I didn’t realize how important it was to go to different consultations to find the right surgeon. I went to my PS because my girlfriend was happy with her experience and he was the number 1 surgeon in my city. When I read other reviews, I realized how important it was to take the time to find a PS who is the right fit for you. We’re all different and I know my PS can be the right fit for someone else but he was not the right fit for me in the end.
I have quite a bit of rippling where my cleavage is and I can feel the implants. My girlfriend said they should get softer as she used to be able to feel them too. Her’s softened up more after 6 months. So we’ll see. Standing up they’re soft but when I lay down they are so hard. I think this is normal though as I’ve read that other women experience the same thing when laying down.
In a bra, they look good and my partner loves them. Haha, we laughed when I took off my bra, that they don’t move as my cleavage is the same with or without a bra.
Sorry for the negative update, I’ve been trying to remain positive through it all. Of course, I’m still very happy that I now have boobs and we do look at them more than ever. No breast are perfectly symmetrical, they’re all perfectly imperfect.
However, we spent a lot of money to get this surgery done so I do feel we should be happy with the end result. I don’t expect perfectly symmetrical breast but I do want to know if my left breast is in fact bottoming out. I’ll keep you guys posted once I get a 2nd opinion but I do want to wait till after 6 months at least. As I am still in the recovering stages and they’re still changing.
I’ll keep you guys posted :)

It's hard to tell with the emojis, but it does look like the left nipple might be sitting higher than the other. Whether that's because it's the way it has always been or because your left breast is bottoming out, it's hard to say. Either way, at this point it seems like just a small issue in my opinion, not a major problem. I totally get your reasoning though, that when spending as much as you spend for a breast augmentation, you expect to be completely satisfied.

I laughed when I read that you and your bf observed that your boobs are in the same position with or without a bra! To me, that's a good thing. I wish I had the kind of cleavage naked that I have with a good bra. When my tits were still pretty new, I could go braless and have some pretty awesome cleavage. Now I have to wear a bra if I really want to wow!

I was hoping to get your feedback. Thanks so much for taking the time to share it. You’re right, in the end it is minor. My boyfriend also said why get a 2nd opinion only to confirm the problem, as it’ll just make me feel worst. Especially if I’ve already decided that I won’t go for a 2nd surgery as of now. It also doesn’t bother me too much as long as I don’t keep staring at them lol.

Haha, glad it made you laugh. Too funny I’m pretty sure I would like how your boobs would look without a bra. When I wear a push up bra that’s lightly lined, it does somewhat look like uniboob. Just a little but I’m able to push my skin down and then my cleavage looks okay again. So that’s why I just wear an underwire bra with no lining, to keep some separation. But if I wear a push up bra with lots of padding, my boobs are quite big and there’s a clear separation. Probably the wow look lol. Looking toward to your updates because you are definitely boob goals :)

I know it's hard not to obsess. You and your bf have probably looked at and felt up your tits more in the past six months than in the six years prior to implants. And that's only natural!

Just try to enjoy them a little more and critique them a little less. I don't think it's a stretch to say that 99.9% of women are totally envious of you. You have a smoking hot little bod and some rocking big fake tits! Just remember that, and you and your bf will have a lot more fun!

I also have to agree with everything you’ve said.

Haha yes and it really is hard not to obsess! Hope all is well with you :)

Thank you for reaching out. Will definitely message you soon. I actually looked at Dr. Lennox as well for a revision. Glad to hear you had a positive experience and that you’re now satisfied with how your boobs now look :)

IMHO... nipple placement is not something that your doctor can adjust without perhaps a donut or crescent lift. What you need to focus on is the symmetry between both breasts and how they are positioned, not based on your nipples but distance from midpoint, etc... which appear to be fine. But... I do understand that having the location of the nipples when implants have now stretched the skin can exacerbate a small difference and make it much larger... They look great!

Thank you for sharing your opinion :)

I haven’t posted an update but yes, the distance from my nipple to my midpoint is actually farther compared to the outer edge. My left nipple actually points out :( I’ve learned that my pockets are actually over dissected around my midline. But I’ve been trying to not focus on it so much by not wearing push up bras as my cleavage looks.. interesting because my skin now lifts up and there’s really no clear separation. I actually prefer my boobs naked but luckily it’s not true symmastia. I will post photos soon to show what I mean.

But I’m still happy to hear they look great to you and others :)

Hi Roseyrosey,

Yes :( I appreciate you reaching out to me. It’s terrible to know that it’s happened to two patients of Dr. P’s within a year. I read your recent update as well and it does frustrate me. Especially knowing he did not acknowledge or take responsibility for his surgical error. I haven’t posted any updates because I don’t want to look at my boobs. As I can’t afford a revision so there’s just no point. I do wish you well and if you decide you’ll be getting a revision. I look forward to your updates!
